Sharpe has been dealing with a leg injury, which may have played into Houston's decision to cut him. However, the Texans are expected to sign the veteran lineman to their practice squad, per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston.

Texans' David Sharpe: Headed to Houston
Sharpe signed a two-year deal with the Texans on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Sharpe will head to Houston after spending the 2023 campaign with the Panthers. The 28-year-old swing tackle should provide solid depth behind starters Laremy Tunsil (knee) and Kilian Zierer (ankle).

Sharpe landed on the practice squad COVID-19 list last week, but it's not clear whether he tested positive for the virus. However, he'll now rejoin the team ahead of Week 17.
