Rams' Myles Garrett: Lands on injured reserve
Garrett (knee) was placed on injured reserve Thursday and will miss at least four games, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
This is a procedural move as Rams coach Sean McVay already announced earlier in the week that Garrett would go on IR following his knee scope. The Rams will be without their biggest offseason acquisition for at least the next four contests, leaving his earliest return date Week 6 when they host the Cardinals.

Rams' Myles Garrett: Surgery confirmed
Coach Sean McVay confirmed Monday that Garrett will undergo a knee scope and be placed on injured reserve, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.
"Thought we would take an approach where he'd be feeling good enough to go contribute positive change and be the player that he's capable of," McVay said. "That wasn't the case. And so the next right thing for us is to be able to get this thing fixed." Garrett will miss at least the next four games, but McVay wouldn't comment on a definitive timeline for the star edge rusher to return to the field. Garrett generated zero pressures and no stats in the box score across 40 defensive snaps against San Francisco last week.

Rams' Myles Garrett: Needs knee scope, headed for IR
Garrett is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in the coming days and is expected to be placed on injured reserve, Tom Pelissero of Netflix reports.
Garrett dealt with swelling in the knee for much of training camp and was held out of the Rams' first official practice of Week 1, but he eventually received the green light to play in Thursday's season opener versus the 49ers in Melbourne, Australia. However, the star edge rusher was unusually quiet in the Rams' 27-7 loss, recording no tackles or quarterback pressures over his 40 snaps. The lingering knee issue was likely a factor in his lack of productivity, and he'll now get sent in for a procedure to address the injury. The Rams are optimistic that Garrett will be ready to play when first eligible Week 6 against the Cardinals after spending the requisite four games on IR.
