Tevin Mitchel: Heads to waivers with injury tag
The Raiders waived Mitchel (undisclosed) with an injury designation Tuesday, Vic Tafur of The Athletic Bay Area reports.
Mitchel was battling for a spot via special teams, but this mystery issue may have held him back. If he clears waivers, he'll revert to the Lions' injured reserve and await an injury settlement.

Mitchel landed on the Colts' injured reserve during training camp, and was ultimately waived off injured reserve on Oct. 26. Mtichel later found his way to the Raiders' practice squad, and will now look to earn a role with the team for the 2018 season.

Mitchel and the Colts reached an injury settlement Tuesday, Tom James of the Tribune-Star reports.
Mitchel, who figured to be a long shot for landing on the Colts' 53-man roster, reverted to the team's IR after being waived in training camp. The 25-year-old will now be able to look for a new opportunity once his heath allows it.
