Terrell Watson: Waived by Chargers
Watson was waived by the Chargers on Saturday, Ricky Henne of the team's official site reports.
Watson was unable to make the Chargers' 53-man roster as the team kept just four running backs. He'll look to catch on elsewhere, but a body of work consisting of 14 carries for 36 yards in 11 career games isn't too intriguing.

Chargers' Terrell Watson: Inks deal with Chargers
Watson signed with the Chargers on Wednesday, Ricky Henne of the team's official site reports.
Watson spent the 2017 season with Pittsburgh and saw time in 10 games. Should Watson make the 53-man roster, his greatest impact will likely come on special teams. The Chargers are more than comfortable with Melvin Gordon carrying the load in 2018.

Watson was waived by the Giants on Monday.
The Giants made a round of cuts Monday to clear room ahead of rookie minicamp this week. Watson has appeared in 11 games over his two-year NFL career, racking up 36 yards on 14 carries. He could garner some interest among running back-needy teams as a free agent.

Terrell Watson: Lands contract with Giants
The Giants signed Watson to a contract Wednesday, Chris Adamski of TribLive.com reports.
Watson opened the 2017 season as the Steelers' No. 3 running back, but didn't do much in the role and was demoted to the practice squad by year's end. He's an interesting name to keep an eye on in redraft leagues ahead of the 2018 campaign given the uncertainty in the Giants backfield.

Terrell Watson: Lands on Steelers' practice squad
Watson was signed to the Steelers' practice squad Monday.

Terrell Watson: Hits waivers
Watson was waived by the Steelers on Saturday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM Radio reports.

Steelers' Terrell Watson: Listed at bottom of depth chart
Watson is listed third on the depth chart ahead of Week 1 in Cleveland.
When asked about the team's running back situation, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said he's comfortable with James Conner getting some work behind Le'Veon Bell but didn't bother mentioning Watson, Ed Bouchette of The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. That doesn't exactly come as a surprise considering Conner is a 2017 third-round pick, whereas Watson went undrafted in 2015 and only has one regular-season appearance on his ledger. There is a real chance Watson would get involved if Bell were to suffer an injury. The 2015 UDFA rumbled for 173 yards on 37 carries in the preseason to surprisingly beat out Fitzgerald Toussaint for a roster spot.

Steelers' Terrell Watson: Makes case for roster spot
Watson strengthened his case for a roster spot in Thursday's preseason finale against Carolina, gaining 80 yards on 15 first-half carries, ESPN.com's Jeremy Fowler reports.
One of the larger running backs in the league, Watson was the third-leading rushing this preseason, taking 37 carries for 173 yards (4.7 average) and a touchdown despite having a long gain of only 15 yards. His consistency running between the tackles puts him in direct competition with 235-pound rookie James Conner, who is a lock to make the team but won't necessarily have a Week 1 role. Fitzgerald Toussaint (leg) offers a very different skill set as a pass-catching threat, but it's unclear whether he'll be healthy for the start of the season. The Steelers don't seem to have a clear plan for what they would do in the event of a Le'Veon Bell injury.

Steelers' Terrell Watson: Making case for spot
Watson has made a strong case for a roster spot this preseason, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
A 2015 undrafted free agent, Watson apparently has made a strong impression on Steelers coach Mike Tomlin with his powerful downhill running. The 240-pounder has taken 18 carries for 84 yards and a touchdown this preseason, but it still isn't clear where he fits on the roster behind Le'Veon Bell. The team's 2017 third-round pick, James Conner, already provides some power off the bench, while Fitzgerald Toussaint is a capable pass catcher and Knile Davis can help in the return game. The Steelers might find a spot for Watson at Davis' expense, though it would require keeping four tailbacks.

Eagles' Terrell Watson: Scores in first game as pro
Watson ran nine times for 28 yards and a score in the Eagles' season finale against the Cowboys.
With three of its top four running backs ruled out, Philadelphia deployed a three-pronged rushing attack on Sunday behind the likes of Watson, Darren Sproles and Byron Marshall. Each player received only nine or 10 carries, though, so there wasn't a clear leader of the bunch. With the regular season now all wrapped up, Turner will look to stay injury-free throughout the offseason in hopes to secure a role in the Eagles' run game for the 2017 campaign.

Browns' Terrell Watson: Survives roster cuts
Watson will serve as the team's No. 4 running back heading into the regular season, according to the team's official website.
Watson wasn't all that impressive running the ball during the preseason (16 rushes for 55 yards), but the Browns decided to keep him on the 53-man roster as the fourth-string back, though that may have something to do with Raheem Mostert (hamstring) still on the mend with his injury. Nonetheless, Watson doesn't figure to get many touches when Cleveland kicks off its regular season on Sept. 11.

Browns' Terrell Watson: Gets involved with four receptions
Watson rushed for five yards on two attempts and caught four passes (four targets) for 17 yards against Chicago on Thursday night.
Watson has been battling with Raheem Mostert (hamstring) for the third-string running back position throughout the preseason and has been able to gain some ground while his opponent is on the mend. He showed his versatility Thursday by hauling in all four targets that were directed his way, although his ground attack was unremarkable. If Watson doesn't make the 53-man roster, look for a team in need of depth to snag him.

Browns' Terrell Watson: Manages just nine yards against Buccaneers
Watson rushed for nine yards on five carries during Friday's loss to Tampa Bay.
With Raheem Mostert (hamstring) on the sideline, Watson had a shot at proving he deserved to be the Browns' No. 3 running back, but after an underwhelming performance, the depth chart is unlikely to be altered. The 23-year-old has rushed for 52 yards on 14 carries so far this preseason, but it might not be enough to make the final roster.
