The Browns signed Rosen to the practice squad Thursday.
Rosen ultimately will re-join Cleveland on the team's practice squad after failing to carve out a roster spot behind Jacoby Brissett and Joshua Dobbs this preseason. The 25-year-old signal-caller should now serve as an emergency backup if one of the team's quarterbacks goes down with an injury at some point this regular season.

Josh Rosen: Done with Cleveland
Rotowire
Rosen was waived by the Browns on Tuesday, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports.
Rosen will look for a new organization after failing to make the Browns' final roster. The quarterback played in four games with the Falcons last season, passing for 19 yards while throwing two interceptions. Whichever team he ends up on will be his seventh since being drafted in 2018.

Browns' Josh Rosen: Inefficient exhibition outing
Rotowire
Rosen completed 7 of 20 passes for 88 yards in Sunday's 21-20 preseason loss to the Eagles.
Rosen entered the game after Joshua Dobbs led the Browns to a 20-14 score midway through the third quarter. Although Rosen's first pass resulted in a 32-yard gain to Javon Wims, he barely managed to move the ball afterward. With Deshaun Watson suspended for Cleveland's first 11 games, Rosen and Dobbs are currently competing to serve as Jacoby Brissett's backup for the regular season. However, Dobbs clearly outperformed Rosen with Sunday's showing, as he completed 14 of 20 passes for 141 yards and rushed four times for 47 yards and a touchdown.

Browns' Josh Rosen: Signs with Cleveland
Rotowire
The Browns have signed Rosen.
Rosen, who was the No. 10 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, saw action in four games with the Falcons last year, completing two of his 11 pass attempts for 19 yards with two interceptions. As the 2022 season approaches, the 25-year-old gives the Browns added quarterback depth behind Deshaun Watson (who faces a potential suspension) and Jacoby Brissett. In the event that Watson is suspended, either Rosen or Joshua Dobbs would be in line to serve as the team's No. 2 signal caller behind Brissett.

Dolphins' Josh Rosen: On trading block, again
Rotowire
Rosen could be traded within the next week, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The Dolphins reportedly have fielded some inquiries, perhaps benefiting from positive updates on Rosen coming out of training camp. It's even been suggested that Rosen could start out ahead of Tua Tagovailoa for the No. 2 quarterback job, but that obviously becomes a moot point if the 2018 first-round pick is traded to his third NFL team in as many years.

Dolphins' Josh Rosen: Could have future in Miami?
Rotowire
GM Chris Grier said the Dolphins haven't given up on Rosen's development, Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Grier makes a reasonable point about Rosen being held back by coaching changes, including three different offensive coordinators at UCLA and three more through two seasons in the NFL. Even so, teams expect to see a basic level of competence from their players, and Rosen failed to deliver that for both the 2018 Cardinals and 2019 Dolphins. Grier may believe there's still hope for Rosen to succeed in the NFL, but that probably won't stop the GM from using an early draft pick on another quarterback. With Ryan Fitzpatrick under contract through 2020, the Dolphins should at least have some level of discussion about moving on from Rosen.

Dolphins' Josh Rosen: Entrenched as No. 2 option
Rotowire
Coach Brian Flores said Monday that Ryan Fitzpatrick will remain the Dolphins' starting quarterback for the "foreseeable future," Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
Rosen's position as Miami's backup quarterback looks set in stone for the time being, with Fitzpatrick now having led the team to consecutive victories. Of course, Fitzpatrick is a notoriously streaky signal-caller with a propensity to dazzle for a time before eventually falling back to earth, so it wouldn't come as much of a surprise if Rosen gets another chance under center later this season. It does appear, however, that the 22-year-old's odds of getting another start are now entirely in Fitzpatrick's hands.

Dolphins' Josh Rosen: Benched in loss
Rotowire
Rosen completed 15 of 25 passes for 85 yards and two interceptions during Sunday's 17-16 loss to Washington. He was benched during the game, but head coach Brian Flores announced after the game that Rosen remains the starter, Armando Salguero of The Miami Herald reports.
Rosen was knocked around in a battle of winless teams, taking five sacks in abbreviated duty. When he was able to deliver the ball, the results were poor as he tried to force a pair of passes past the defense only to have them intercepted. The sophomore quarterback now has five interceptions to go with just one touchdown on the season and is averaging a measly 5.2 yards per attempt. Though he's penciled in for the start in Week 7, a dangerous Bills defense looms.

Dolphins' Josh Rosen: Locked in as starter
Rotowire
Coach Brian Flores suggested Wednesday that Rosen will serve as Miami's starting quarterback for the rest of the season, Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald reports.
Flores referred to the QB situation as "settled," noting that Rosen has already improved and will have the opportunity to continue doing so. The second-year signal-caller gets a favorable matchup Week 6, with the Dolphins hosting a Washington team that has given up 8.0 yards per pass attempt (23rd in NFL) and 13 passing touchdowns (32nd).

Dolphins' Josh Rosen: Full practice Thursday
Rotowire
Rosen (elbow) practiced in full Thursday.
Rosen is listed with an elbow injury, but he doesn't appear significantly hindered by the issue or in danger of missing any time. The 22-year-old signal-caller is on track to make a second consecutive start under center Week 4, when he'll face off against the Chargers. The Dolphins have scored only one receiving touchdown through three contests, so Rosen will remain off the fantasy radar until such time as Miami's offense manages to achieve some consistency.

Dolphins' Josh Rosen: Getting another start
Rotowire
Rosen (hand) will start Sunday's game against the Chargers, Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald reports.
Rosen finished with an ugly stat line -- 46.2 completion percentage, 5.1 yards per attempt -- in his first start for Miami in Week 3, but he actually put together some nice drives prior to halftime in Dallas. Naturally, the Dolphins only got six points out of it, settling for two field goals, a missed field goal and a series that ended in a red-zone fumble by Kenyan Drake. The team then failed to get anything going after the break, ultimately losing 31-6. Rosen still doesn't have much help around him, but it at least seems the hand injury he suffered last week isn't serious.

Dolphins' Josh Rosen: Has rough day versus Dallas
Rotowire
Rosen was being evaluated for a hand injury toward the end of Sunday's 31-6 loss to the Cowboys, according to Chris Perkins of The Athletic.
Rosen was checked out for an unrelated injury earlier in the game, and though he returned to the contest, he seemingly suffered another ailment in the latter stages. The second-year quarterback looked capable at times but faced a difficult matchup against a solid defensive unit and finished averaging just 5.1 yards per attempt. Rosen will be evaluated in the coming days, but he would carry minimal fantasy value in next Sunday's home matchup with the Chargers even if he is cleared of potential injuries.

Dolphins' Josh Rosen: Splits starting reps in practice
Rotowire
Rosen shared starting snaps with Ryan Fitzpatrick during Thursday's practice, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
Coach Brian Flores said Thursday that Fitzpatrick is still the starter "right now," but it's worth noting that Rosen didn't receive starting reps during last week's practices. Rosen entered both of Miami's contests this season in the fourth quarter, after each game was out of hand and Fitzpatrick had been pulled. The Dolphins could be gearing up to make a switch at quarterback in the event that Fitzpatrick struggles for a third consecutive week.

Dolphins' Josh Rosen: Struggles in Week 2 garbage time
Rotowire
Rosen completed seven of 18 passes for 97 yards and an interception after entering in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 43-0 loss to New England.
Ryan Fitzpatrick tossed a trio of interceptions -- including two pick-sixes -- before giving way to Rosen in garbage time. Coach Brian Flores said that Fitzpatrick remains the starter for now, but the team will consider making the change to Rosen. There's a laundry list of issues with Miami's team that goes far beyond the quarterback position, so Rosen would be unlikely to find much success if he were to capture the starting job.

Dolphins' Josh Rosen: Loses job battle to Fitzpatrick
Rotowire
Rosen will begin the season as Ryan Fitzpatrick's backup, Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald reports.
Both Rosen and Fitzpatrick were held out of Thursday's preseason finale, meaning coach Brian Flores made his decision based on the Dolphins first three exhibitions. Rosen fared modestly in those outings, completing 28 of 45 passes for 352 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. He'll thus have to wait for the magic to wear off Fitzpatrick before making his first regular-season appearance as a Dolphin.

Dolphins' Josh Rosen: Shows promise in win
Rotowire
Rosen completed five of seven passes for 59 yards and added 23 yards on four carries during Thursday's 22-7 win over Jacksonville.
So much talk this offseason has been about how it's Rosen versus the veteran, Ryan Fitzpatrick, for the starting job. It was Rosen who showed some veteran savvy in his first drive, using a hard count to give his offense some breathing room when pressed against its own goal line. A 99-yard touchdown drive ensued, featuring a nifty 39-yard pass downfield to Isaiah Ford and scrambles of 11 and 14 yards by Rosen. Rosen only received three true drives of work with Ryan Fitzpatrick playing into the second half, but looked every bit like a young potential franchise quarterback. He's been behind Fitzpatrick all offseason and, despite the promise he showed against the Jaguars, it probably wasn't quite enough to change the equation too dramatically.

Dolphins' Josh Rosen: Has so-so showing Friday
Rotowire
Rosen completed 10 of 18 passes for 102 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions during Friday's preseason loss to the Buccaneers.
Getting the starting nod over graybeard Ryan Fitzpatrick, Rosen didn't really flash but also didn't make a drastic error, if one looks at the box score. On a positive note, Rosen's stat line could have been better if not for a handful of drops between Preston Williams and Mike Gesicki. On the other side of the coin, Rosen threw the ball directly into the hands of Bucs corner Jamel Dean on third-and-five late in the first half, but Dean couldn't corral the pass. Rosen appears to be behind Fitzpatrick for the Week 1 start at the midpoint of exhibition play, but two games remain to change the mind of coach Brian Flores.

Dolphins' Josh Rosen: Listed behind Fitzpatrick
Rotowire
Though Rosen has been working toward closing the gap in the Dolphins' QB competition, he remains behind Ryan Fitzpatrick on the team's posted depth chart, Safid Deen of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Rosen has built some positive momentum after a good performance in practice last week, but he's yet to supplant Fitzpatrick. "I've seen a lot of improvement from a lot of guys. He's one of them, but he's still got a long way to go. By no means are we anointing him or crowning him," coach Brian Flores said of Rosen. In any case, this remains a position battle worth tracking, and even if Rosen doesn't overtake Fitzpatrick before Week 1, the No. 10 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft has a good chance to take snaps at some point this coming season, with the Dolphins seemingly in rebuilding mode.

Dolphins' Josh Rosen: Outplayed by Fitzmagic
Rotowire
Rosen has been outplayed by Ryan Fitzpatrick during practices open to the media, Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald reports.
Fitzpatrick has also been the one to open practices with the starters, though it sounds like Rosen is at least getting a chance to mix in. The more important stage of this quarterback battle will take place in August, and a rebuilding team would be wise to lean toward Rosen if it's a close call. Even if he doesn't win the Week 1 job, the 22-year-old figures to get starts at some point in 2019.

Cardinals' Josh Rosen: May stick in the desert
Rotowire
Despite selecting Kyler Murray with the first overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Cardinals may hold on to Rosen if they don't receive a satisfactory trade offer, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
A number of teams have inquired about Rosen's availability this offseason, most notably the Giants, Dolphins and Chargers. Each locale has an aging quarterback in the starting job, but those organizations may soon be on the lookout for the next man up. Rosen is an ideal candidate considering his pedigree as the 10th selection of last year's draft and the addition of Murray. That said, the Cardinals aren't going to hand Rosen away after the investment made in him, so how the draft plays out in the coming days could force another team to give up what his current organization desires as a return.
