Texans' Christian Kirk: Snags four passes in return
Kirk caught four of eight targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 18-15 loss to the Broncos.
The veteran slot receiver saw his first action since Week 5 after recovering from a hamstring strain, and Kirk finished second on the Texans in targets while catching passes from both C.J. Stroud (concussion) and Davis Mills. The volume is encouraging, and Kirk has logged at least three receptions in all four games he's been healthy enough to play in this season. He'll still be a much less appealing fantasy option, even in PPR formats, if Stroud ends up sitting out a Week 10 contest against the Jaguars.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Ready to return Week 9
Kirk (hamstring) logged a full practice Friday and carries no injury designation heading into Sunday's game against the Broncos.
Both Kirk and Nico Collins (concussion) were full participants Friday and enter Week 9 with no designation. Kirk missed the last two games and four overall this season due to a balky hamstring. That's limited him to 10 catches, 109 yards and zero touchdowns over three games.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Turns in full practice
Kirk (hamstring) was a full practice participant Thursday.
With a full session in tow, Kirk appears set to put an end to a two-game absence this Sunday versus the Broncos. Aside from Tank Dell (knee), the Texans project to have all of their key wide receivers available for the Week 9 matchup, as Nico Collins cleared concussion protocol after joining Kirk as a full practice participant Thursday. Over three appearances with the Texans this season, Kirk has put together a 10-109-0 receiving line on 16 targets.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Limited in practice
Kirk (hamstring) was a limited practice participant Wednesday.
The same goes for Nico Collins, who also returned to practice after missing all of last week. Collins is still in concussion protocol but reportedly on track to gain clearance, which means Houston's WR room could be at full strength this Sunday against Denver. It remains to be seen if Collins and/or Kirk will progress to full practice participation Thursday.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Back at practice
Kirk (hamstring) and Nico Collins (concussion) returned to practice Wednesday, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
The Texans may have their receiving corps back at full strength this Sunday against the Broncos, facing a defense that leads the league in sacks but will now be playing without reigning DPOY Patrick Surtain (pectoral). With Kirk and Collins absent last week, the Texans got solid showings from all of Jaylin Noel, Jayden Higgins and Xavier Hutchinson in a win over the 49ers.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Won't play this week
Kirk (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against San Francisco.
With Nico Collins (concussion) and Kirk both ruled out, the Texans are left with Xavier Hutchinson, Jayden Higgins, Jaylin Noel and Braxton Berrios as the favorites for playing time at wide receiver. Noel made a splash last week with four catches for 77 yards on seven targets in a 27-19 loss at Seattle, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll be the main beneficiary in terms of playing time this week. Kirk, meanwhile, has now missed Weeks 1, 2, 7 and 8 with hamstring injuries.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Third straight DNP on Friday
Kirk (hamstring) remains a non-participant in practice Friday, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
Kirk and Nico Collins (concussion) haven't practiced all week. Both wide receivers presumably will be ruled out for Sunday's game against the 49ers, though official confirmation won't come until the Texans post their injury report later Friday.

Texans' Christian Kirk: Misses Thursday's practice
Kirk (hamstring) isn't practicing Thursday, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
Kirk remains sidelined by the hamstring injury he aggravated prior to Monday's 27-19 loss to Seattle. Nico Collins (concussion) has also started Week 8 prep with two straight missed practices, so rookies Jaylin Noel and Jayden Higgins could be set for expanded roles Sunday against the 49ers, along with fellow wideouts Xavier Hutchinson and Braxton Berrios.

Texans' Christian Kirk: No return to practice
Kirk (hamstring) isn't practicing Wednesday, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports.
A mid-week addition to the Week 7 injury report, Kirk was ruled out Saturday for Monday's eventual loss to Seattle (in which No. 1 receiver Nico Collins suffered a concussion). Houston may now be without both Kirk and Collins this Sunday against the 49ers, which would leave more routes/targets for some combination of Xavier Hutchinson, Jayden Higgins, Jaylin Noel and Braxton Berrios.
