Trautman was targeted just once for the second straight week despite continuing to operate as Denver's No. 1 tight end. The veteran played 34 of the Broncos' 58 offensive snaps, while Nate Adkins and Lucas Krull were on the field for 21 and 12 snaps, respectively. As has been the case for the majority of the season, Trautman is not seeing enough consistent volume to be a viable fantasy option most weeks. Trautman came crashing back down to Earth after an impressive Week 8 performance, as the veteran tight end was targeted just once by rookie quarterback Bo Nix against Baltimore in Week 9. The 27-year-old was an afterthought in the contest despite operating as the team's No. 1 tight end. Broncos' Adam Trautman: Huge game in win over Carolina
Trautman caught all four of his targets for 85 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-14 win over the Panthers.
With Greg Dulcich in Sean Payton's doghouse and Lucas Krull picking up a shoulder injury during Sunday's contest, Trautman wound up being significantly more than just a blocker for the first time all season. The fifth-year tight end made a spectacular one-handed grab for a 19-yard TD in the second quarter, his first score of the year, and he also had a 37-yard gain on the final play of the first quarter that helped set up Denver's first touchdown of the day. Krull was able to return to the game and caught both of his targets for 18 yards, but Trautman's breakout performance could put him in line for a larger role as a receiver Week 9 against the Ravens.

Broncos' Adam Trautman: Not targeted in Week 6
Trautman failed to record a single target in Sunday's 23-16 loss to the Chargers.
Trautman was held without a target for third time this season, and the veteran tight end has failed to record more than a single target in the three other contests. The 27-year-old played just 17 of the Broncos' 55 offensive snaps in Week 6, his lowest mark of the season. Meanwhile, fellow tight end Lucas Krull played the most snaps (33) at tight end and was targeted four times. Trautman's limited usage in the passing game should keep him far off the fantasy radar heading into a Week 7 matchup against the Saints.

Trautman caught the first pass thrown by quarterback Bo Nix on the opening drive. Due to Trautman's blocking prowess, he is the favorite to lead Denver's tight ends in playing time during the 2024 regular season, though Greg Dulcich and Lucas Krull both have higher ceilings as pass catchers. Dulcich caught both of his targets for 27 yards in Sunday's win, while Krull finished with two catches for six yards on three targets.
