Ingold will be held out of Monday's game after being limited in practice all week due to a calf injury. It'll be the first game he's missed in the regular season, and his next chance at suiting up will be Week 11 against the Raiders on Sunday. Ingold has been limited in practice all week due to a calf injury he aggravated in Week 9 against Buffalo. Ingold could be a true game-time decision, meaning his status for Monday's game won't be known until the Dolphins' inactive list is announced approximately 90 minutes before the 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.

Dolphins' Alec Ingold: Limited in Thursday's practice
Ingold (calf) was listed as a limited participant on Thursday's practice report, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Ingold aggravated a calf injury during the Dolphins' Week 9 loss to the Bills. His ability to practice Thursday is a good sign that he's progressing through the issue, and he'll have two more chances this week to increase his practice participation ahead of Monday's game against the Rams. Ingold has primarily served as a blocker out of the Dolphins' backfield, though he has managed to accrue 13 yards and a touchdown on nine carries while adding seven catches (on eight targets) for 60 yards.

After producing 19 yards on three receptions in last week's 28-27 loss to the Cardinals, Ingold left the game with a bum ankle. However, he was able to recover enough throughout the week to give it a go versus Buffalo. The veteran fullback has quietly had his most productive season statistically, seeing targets in four games.

Ingold is on pace to squeak out the most production season of his NFL career in terms of offensive stats, though his involvement remains marginal with De'Von Achane and Raheem Mostert entrenched as the clear leaders out of Miami's backfield. Still, Ingold's versatility makes him a valuable member of coach Mike McDaniel's offense, even if his role doesn't lead to fantasy utility. The veteran fullback will look to keep up his momentum heading into a pivotal Week 9 divisional matchup at Buffalo.

Dolphins' Alec Ingold: Scores in ugly in over New England
Ingold rushed once for a three-yard touchdown during Miami's 15-10 win over the Patriots on Sunday.
Ingold scored from three yards out on a fullback drive on his only carry Week 5, only the third touchdown he's scored in his three-year Dolphins career. The fullback also made a key recovery of a botched snap early in Sunday's divisional contest. After Ingold and the Dolphins return from a Week 6 bye, he'll continue handling a key role as a blocker on the road against Indianapolis.

Dolphins' Alec Ingold: Two touches in Week 2
Ingold carried twice for two yards while playing 24 of 76 snaps on offense last Thursday in the Dolphins' 31-10 loss to the Bills.
The Dolphins make heavier use of fullbacks than most teams in the league, but Ingold has still taken the field for less than 40 percent of the offensive snaps through the first two weeks of the season. Ingold did better with his two carries (eight yards) in the Dolphins' Week 1 win over the Jaguars, but the coaching staff won't go out of its way to scheme up more touches for the 28-year-old in the weeks to come.

Dolphins' Alec Ingold: Notches reception in Week 13
Ingold played 20 of the Dolphins' 61 snaps on offense and recorded one reception for minus-three yards in Sunday's 45-15 win over the Commanders.
Ingold hasn't taken any carries since Week 3, but the fullback has continued to see occasional involvement in the passing game as a dump-off target for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. Over his last five games, Ingold has reeled in six of eight targets for 19 yards.
