  • Evin Ksiezarczyk: Let go by Falcons

Ksiezarczyk was waived by Atlanta on Friday, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The 310-pound offensive tackle started all 13 games for Buffalo University last fall as the Bulls established a new school record with 3,256 team rushing yards and won the first bowl game in program history against Charlotte. Ksiezarczyk, bereft of the opportunity to prove himself in preseason competition against another team. was not able to stick with the Falcons' active roster. He will now be tasked with finding another NFL franchise that he can catch on with if the Falcons don't attempt to sign him to one of 16 available practice-squad slots.

  • Falcons' Evin Ksiezarczyk: Back at practice

Ksiezarczyk (undisclosed) returned to practice Saturday, Jason Butt of The Athletic reports.

Ksiezarczyk suffered an undisclosed injury Aug. 18, the severity of which caused him to be carted off the practice field, but it looks as though he's already managed to recover. He's competing for a reserve spot at offensive tackle.

  • Falcons' Evin Ksiezarczyk: Injury scare in practice

Ksiezarczyk (undisclosed) had to be carted off the field Tuesday, but it appears the injury is not serious, D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

The undrafted rookie is expected to make his return to the field by Saturday, after his MRI came back clean following Tuesday's practice. Ksiezarczyk finds himself in competition for a backup tackle spot with veterans John Wetzel and Justin McCray, as well as fellow first-year lineman Scottie Dill. This favorable timeline regarding his injury likely increases his chances of staying in the running for a roster spot.
