Fant missed Washington's Week 14 matchup against the Vikings with a knee injury, but it appears he's made a quick recovery. He should return to a depth tackle role in Sunday's game against the Giants.

Commanders' George Fant: Out with knee issue
Fant (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Vikings, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
Fant hasn't spent any time on the injury report prior to this week, but he apparently suffered a knee injury during practice Thursday. He was unable to practice Friday and has now been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against Minnesota.

Commanders' George Fant: Signs with Washington
Fant and the Commanders agreed on a contract Tuesday.
Fant will head to Washington after being let go by the Seahawks in March. The offensive tackle has made 75 career starts with the Seahawks, Jets and Texans. He'll provide the Commanders with an additional veteran option behind starters Laremy Tunsil and Andrew Wylie on the offensive line.

George Fant: Let go by Seattle
The Seahawks released Fant on Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official website reports.
Fant will hit the open market after appearing in just two games for Seattle in 2024 as a result of a pair of knee injuries. The 32-year-old may need to prove he's healthy before he'll get a chance to fill a depth role on the offensive line for another team.
