Luke Masterson: Works out with New England
Masterson (knee) worked out with the Patriots on Sunday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Masterson spent the final 13 contests of the 2024 campaign on injured reserve with the Raiders after suffering a knee injury but he now appears to be back to full health. The linebacker recorded 17 total tackles (10 solo) over four games with Las Vegas and he'd offer any interested teams an experienced reserve option in 2025.

Raiders' Luke Masterson: Limited to four games in 2024
Masterson (knee) compiled 17 tackles (10 solo) across four regular-season games with the Raiders in 2024. He spent the team's final 13 contests on IR.
Masterson is set to become a restricted free agent this offseason, making it likely that he'll get a chance to stick with Las Vegas as he progresses in his recovery from a knee injury sustained Week 4. If indeed kept in house by the Raiders, Masterson will get a chance to compete for a depth role at linebacker for the 2025 campaign.

Raiders' Luke Masterson: Lands on IR with knee injury
The Raiders placed Masterson (knee) on injured reserve Saturday.
Masterson popped up on the Raiders' injury report Wednesday with a knee injury, and he was ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Broncos. However, the knee injury appears to be severe enough to warrant a stint on injured reserve. The 26-year-old linebacker will be forced to sit for at least the next four games, meaning the earliest he can return is Week 9 against the Bengals on Nov. 3. Amari Gainer, Amari Burney and Tommy Eichenberg are candidates to slide into the starting linebacker spot vacated by Masterson.

Raiders' Luke Masterson: Won't play Sunday
Masterson (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Broncos, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
Masterson didn't practice Thursday after logging a limited session Wednesday, so it's no surprise that the Wake Forest product won't suit up Sunday. Expect Amari Gainer to serve as the Raiders' top strongside linebacker while Masterson continues to recover from his knee injury.

Masterson (knee) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
Masterson appears to have sustained a knee injury in the Raiders' Week 4 win over the Browns, despite playing 54 total snaps (33 defensive snaps and 21 on special teams) and recording six total tackles. His participation Thursday and Friday will provide a better indication of his potential availability in Week 5, as the Raiders take on the Broncos.
