Stephen Sullivan: Gets let go
Sullivan was cut from the Panthers' practice squad Thursday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
Sullivan joined Carolina's practice squad Sept. 30 but never received an elevation to the active roster. The 27-year-old will now have to work to find another opportunity, but he could be a candidate to return if Ian Thomas (calf) and Tommy Tremble (concussion) cannot suit up in Week 6 against the Falcons.

Stephen Sullivan: Back in Carolina
Sullivan signed with the Panthers' practice squad Monday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
Sullivan spent the previous three seasons with the team and was with them in training camp until he reached an injury settlement after injuring his quadriceps. Now healthy, the LSU product will provide some extra organizational depth at tight end for the Panthers.

Stephen Sullivan: Visits the Big Apple
Sullivan (quadriceps) worked out for the Giants on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Sullivan received an injury settlement from the Panthers in early August, making him a free agent. Now healthy, the LSU product is working to find a new opportunity. With the Giants not receiving much production from their tight ends, they may be looking to beef up their depth there, considering they also worked out Teagan Quitoriano and Armani Rogers on Monday as well.

Panthers' Stephen Sullivan: Lands on IR
Sullivan (quadriceps) was placed on injured reserve Thursday, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.
Sullivan will have his 2024 campaign come to an early end with his shift to IR sidelining him for the season. However, he could find another opportunity if he reaches an injury settlement with the team and can prove himself healthy. The LSU product appeared in 11 regular-season games for Carolina last season, recording 12 catches on 24 targets for 125 yards. In a corresponding move, the team signed fellow tight end Curtis Hodges.

Panthers' Stephen Sullivan: No catches Sunday
Sullivan didn't catch either of his two targets in Sunday's 26-0 loss to the Jaguars.
Sullivan's goose egg came after a decent, three-catch outing in Week 16. Despite making the stat sheet in most games during the second half of the season, Sullivan's stock remains restricted heading into Sunday's finale versus the Buccaneers.

Panthers' Stephen Sullivan: Targeted five times in Week 16
Sullivan caught three of five targets for 21 yards in Sunday's 33-30 loss to the Packers.
Sullivan operated as the Panthers' No. 2 tight end behind Tommy Tremble, playing just 14 of Carolina's 66 offensive snaps. In nine appearances, the 27-year-old tight end has recorded just 12 catches for 125 yards this season. Sullivan should remain far off the fantasy radar in a Week 17 matchup with the Jaguars.

Panthers' Stephen Sullivan: Makes one catch
Sullivan caught his only target for 14 yards in Sunday's 9-7 win over the Falcons.
Sullivan has become more of a factor lately, with all nine of his catches this season coming in the last eight weeks. Although he hasn't topped 28 yards in any contest, he's generally been good for an occasional catch, as was the case Sunday.

Panthers' Stephen Sullivan: Good for Week 14
Sullivan (shoulder) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints.
Sullivan was able to practice fully Friday, so it's not a surprise he's suiting up in New Orleans. The 27-year-old has three catches for 49 yards over the past three games with Hayden Hurst (concussion) sidelined, and Sullivan will likely have a similar offensive role Sunday with Hurst still unavailable. Ian Thomas and Tommy Tremble are also active, so Carolina will likely have a three-man rotation at tight end.
