    Niang (knee) was placed on injured reserve Monday. Niang will officially miss the 2025 campaign after suffering a torn ACL in Friday's 48-18 preseason loss to the Patriots. The offensive lineman will now shift his focus to being ready for training camp in 2026.

  • Commanders' Lucas Niang: Suffers torn ACL

    Niang suffered a torn ACL in Friday's preseason opener against New England, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports. Niang was in training camp with the Chiefs last season but was cut prior to Week 1 and spent some time on Kansas City's practice squad in 2024 before being let go in November. He signed with Washington last month but will now miss the 2025 campaign.
