Giants' Devin Singletary: Works as backup again
Singletary rushed the ball eight times for 40 yards in Sunday's 20-17 overtime loss to the Panthers. He added one reception on one target for five yards.
Singletary remained the clear backup to Tyrone Tracy, though his eight carries were his highest mark since returning from a groin injury in Week 7. He was fairly effective with his opportunity, ripping off significant gains of nine and 14 yards. Tracy lost a key fumble in the loss but was otherwise impressive, so Singletary is likely to continue to serve in a limited role moving forward.

Giants' Devin Singletary: Gets seven carries to Tracy's 16
Singletary rushed seven times for 33 yards and wasn't targeted in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Commanders.
Tyrone Tracy cleared concussion protocol Friday and reprised his role as the Giants' lead back, limiting Singletary to a change-of-pace role. New York's running game is well positioned for success in Week 10 against the generous Panthers defense in Germany, but Singletary will likely continue to cede the majority of carries to Tracy.

Giants' Devin Singletary: Minimal role again Monday
Singletary rushed twice for 11 yards and secured two of three targets for 12 yards in the Giants' 26-18 loss to the Steelers on Monday night.
As his scant workload indicates, Singletary took a clear back seat to rookie Tyrone Tracy (head), who excelled with 145 rushing yards and a touchdown on 20 carries despite exiting the game twice with injuries. Singletary saw only five carries in his Week 7 return from a groin injury after Tracy impressed during the former's two-game absence, and unless the head injury that forced Tracy's second and final exit from the game Monday lingers into Week 9, the minimal role for the veteran back should continue against the Commanders in Sunday's divisional battle.

Giants' Devin Singletary: Sees little action in return
Singletary carried the ball five times for 18 yards and caught his only target for three yards in Sunday's 28-3 loss to the Eagles.
After missing the last two weeks due to a groin strain, Singletary saw little action in his return, but that was largely due to game script. Tyrone Tracy was only slightly busier out of the backfield, turning nine touches into 32 scrimmage yards. It's impossible to draw any conclusions on the New York backfield situation given the nature of Sunday's rout, but Singletary seems headed for a timeshare with Tracy given the rookie's success in his absence. However, both backs could struggle again in Week 8 against a stingy Steelers defense.

Giants' Devin Singletary: Cleared from injury report
Singletary (groin) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Singletary will return from a two-game absence but makes for a risky fantasy play after coach Brian Daboll said Friday that Tyrone Tracy has earned a larger role going forward. Daboll also said he wants to keep an eye on Singletary this Sunday, and the veteran RB never quite progressed to full practice participation, instead logging limited sessions Wednesday through Friday, per Leonard.

Giants' Devin Singletary: Will share work with Tracy
Coach Brian Daboll expects Singletary (groin) to return for Sunday's game against Philadelphia but said Tyrone Tracy will get significant playing time, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
Daboll said Tracy "earned it" with his impressive performances in Singletary's absence the past two weeks. Daboll also suggested third-stringer Eric Gray will play some, noting that the Giants want to ease Singletary back into action. It remains to be seen if the team lists Singletary with a game designation on the final injury report.

Giants' Devin Singletary: Another limited practice
Singletary (groin) was limited at Thursday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Singletary still is in search of an ever elusive first full practice since the Giants' Week 4 loss to the Cowboys on Sept. 26. He's missed two games in the meantime due to a groin issue, but he at least has been listed as limited on six consecutive injury reports. If Singletary remains sidelined Sunday against the Eagles, Tyrone Tracy will continue to lead New York's backfield.

Giants' Devin Singletary: Remains limited at practice
Singletary (groin) practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Stretching back to Week 5 prep, Singletary now has been listed as limited on five consecutive injury reports, but he's been sidelined the last two games due to a groin issue, which has allowed rookie fifth-round pick Tyrone Tracy to burst onto the scene. Singletary will have two more opportunities to log a full session this week before the Giants potentially hand him a designation ahead of Sunday's contest against the Eagles.
