Broncos' Jarrett Guarantano: Added to Denver's roster
The Broncos will sign Guarantano to the 53-man roster from their practice squad Tuesday, Brandon Krisztal of KOA 850 AM Denver reports.
Guarantano looks set to stick on Denver's roster for the final three games of the season, though he'll slide to third on the depth chart behind Russell Wilson and Brett Rypien as soon as Wilson clears the NFL's concussion protocol. While Wilson was sidelined for this past Sunday's 24-15 win over the Cardinals, Guarantano served as the backup to Rypien before reverting to the practice squad following the game. Wilson could be ready to go for Sunday's game against the Rams, but because the Cardinals were entertaining the idea of adding Guarantano to their roster as insurance at the position while their top quarterback (Colt McCoy) also finds himself in the concussion protocol, Denver swooped in to sign Guarantano before Arizona could.

Jarrett Guarantano: Back to practice squad Monday
Guarantano reverted to the Broncos' practice squad Monday.
Guarantano was elevated from the practice squad to serve as the team's No. 2 quarterback behind Brett Rypien, who started in place of Russell Wilson (concussion) for the second game in a row Sunday. However, Rypien went on to play every offensive snap, completing 21 of his 26 passes for 197 yards and one touchdown to one interception in this win over Arizona. Guarantano will now be eligible for one more elevation from the practice squad, though it's unlikely this will happen if Wilson returns against the Rams on Christmas Day.

Jarrett Guarantano: Sticks with practice squad
The Cardinals signed Guarantano to the team's practice squad Wednesday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Guarantano was unable to carve out a role on the Cardinals' final 53-man roster this preseason and was waived as part of the team's final cuts Aug. 30. However, the 24-year-old will now head back to Arizona after the team signed Trace McSorley to the active roster to take the place of fellow signal-caller Colt McCoy, who also landed on injured reserve Wednesday. Guarantano should serve as the Cardinals' next-best option at quarterback in case the team sustains anymore injuries at quarterback.
