J.J. McCarthy's abysmal play at quarterback (87 yards passing, two interceptions) has made almost every Vikings receiver a non-factor for fantasy purposes. Hockensen at least is getting some dump-off passes (seven receptions in the last two games), but they are not resulting in much yardage. Hockenson's outlook isn't any better next week in a tough matchup at Seattle.

The Vikings' passing attack was mostly quiet the majority of the night as J.J. McCarthy made his NFL regular-season debut, helping lead to a modest showing for the veteran tight end. Hockenson suffered an apparent groin injury during practice Saturday and was walking with a noticeable limp afterward, Andrew Krammer of the Minnesota Star Tribune reports.
Hockenson was evaluated and tried to work through the injury on the field, but he was unable to do so. He told reporters after practice that he would be alright, but he may be in line to miss additional practice time.
