  • Cowboys' Curtis Robinson: Signing with Dallas

The Cowboys signed Robinson to a one-year deal Monday, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Robinson got a chance to prove his mettle in 2025 due to an injury bug that hit the 49ers' linebacker corps. The 27-year-old played 244 defensive snaps over 14 games last season, up from 83 snaps over 15 games in the first five years of his career combined. Robinson registered 42 tackles (19 solo) over that 14-game span and has proven to be a reliable depth option that will be able to produce for the Cowboys in 2026 if DeMarvion Overshown, Shemar James or Dee Winters are unable to suit up.

  • 49ers' Curtis Robinson: Role expands in injury-plagued year

Robinson recorded 42 tackles (19 solo) with one pass defended across 14 games with the 49ers in 2025.

Fred Warner (ankle) headlined a list of injured linebackers that San Francisco was forced to play without for most of 2025. Robinson -- a career special-teamer -- took advantage of the available defensive snaps and set a new career high in combined tackles (42). The 28-year-old will become an unrestricted free agent this upcoming offseason, so Robinson will have to re-sign with his current club if he wants to spend a sixth season on the 49ers' special-teams unit.

  • 49ers' Curtis Robinson: Healthy scratch again

Robinson (coach's decision) is inactive for Saturday night's game against the Seahawks, Briana Jeannel of the 49ers' official site reports.

Robinson will be a healthy scratch for a third consecutive game, with Eric Kendricks seeming to have earned the No. 2 middle linebacker spot on the depth chart. Robinson will likely not be active again this season as long as the 49ers' linebacker corps maintains its current health.

  • 49ers' Curtis Robinson: Healthy scratch for SNF

Robinson (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday night's contest against the Bears.

Robinson will be a healthy scratch for the second game in a row as the team has opted to elevated Eric Kendricks for the second straight week. Robinson had appeared in all 14 of the 49ers' previous contests ahead of Week 16, and he'll look to get another crack in the team's final regular season contest in Week 18 against the Seahawks.

  • 49ers' Curtis Robinson: Inactive against Indy

Robinson (coach's decision) is inactive for Monday night's game against the Colts.

With the Niners deciding to elevate Eric Kendricks from the practice squad, Robinson is the odd man out in the linebacker corps. Robinson has appeared in all 14 games to this point this season, making three starts, and has produced 42 tackles (19 solo) and one pass breakup.

  • 49ers' Curtis Robinson: Expanded role after Bethune exit

Robinson totaled 12 tackles (five solo) during the 49ers' 41-22 win over the Cardinals on Sunday.

Robinson mostly served on special teams in the 10 regular-season games prior to Week 11, but he was thrust into a more prominent role on defense after Tatum Bethune exited in the first half due to a high-ankle sprain. Robinson took advantage of the opportunity, posting a career-high 12 tackles to finish tied with Cody Simon for the most tackles in Sunday's game. Per David Lombardi of SFStandard.com, Bethune is expected to miss multiple weeks while recovering from his ankle injury, so Robinson should start at middle linebacker for as long as the former is sidelined.

  • 49ers' Curtis Robinson: Activated off PUP list

The 49ers activated Robinson (undisclosed) off the active/PUP list Saturday, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.

  • 49ers' Curtis Robinson: Not healthy to open camp

Robinson (undisclosed) was placed on the active/PUP list Friday.

Robinson missed the majority of the 2024 season with a torn ACL, so the issue could still be lingering. If that's the case, he should have the chance to return at some point during training camp, though an exact timeline is unclear.

He'll shift his focus to rehab and recovery and aim to be fully healthy ahead of the 2025 season.
