Cleveland will be sidelined for a second straight game due to an ankle injury he picked up in Week 8 against the Jaguars. He has yet to practice since the injury, and he'll look to get right for Week 11 against the Lions. Cooper Hodges injured his knee in Week 9 against the Eagles and was placed on injured reserve Monday, so Blake Hance figures to be the next man up to start at left guard.

Cleveland hurt his ankle last Sunday versus Green Bay and wasn't able to practice at all this week. Prior to exiting that contest, he had played every offensive snap for the Jaguars this season. With Cleveland out Sunday, Cooper Hodges will make his first NFL start at left guard, per Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com.

Cleveland did not play in the Jags' preseason opener against the Chiefs on Saturday due to a heel injury. He was limited in Monday's practice, but the 2020 second-round guard was back doing team drills one day later. Cleveland appeared in 15 games (including 11 starts) with both the Vikings and Jaguars in 2023, and he's slated to start at left guard for the upcoming season.

Given that he was allowed to practice in a limited capacity, it doesn't seem likely that Cleveland's injury is a threat to his status for the start of the regular season. The 26-year-old is slated to again be Jacksonville's starter at left guard in 2024.
