  • Lions' D.J. Reed: Limited by injuries in 2025

Reed recorded 46 total tackles (37 solo) and seven passes defensed, including two interceptions, while also adding a forced fumble and a fumble recovery over 11 contests during the 2025 regular season.

Reed was forced to miss six games with a hamstring injury in October and November, limiting his overall numbers on the season. The cornerback was able to secure multiple interceptions for the first time since 2021, while his fumble recovery was his first since that season as well. Reed inked a three-year deal with the Lions prior to the season, and he's all set to start opposite of Terrion Arnold (shoulder) again in 2026.

  • Lions' D.J. Reed: Picks off Prescott late

Reed posted eight solo tackles and two pass defenses (including an interception) during the Lions' 44-30 win over the Cowboys on Thursday.

Reed led the Lions with eight solo takedowns and tied with Avonte Maddox for the second-most combined tackles on the team behind Jack Campbell (12). Reed also logged his second interception of the season late in the fourth quarter after he beat out Ryan Flournoy on a Dak Prescott pass. Across seven regular-season games, Reed has logged 28 tackles (26 solo), six pass defenses, once forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

  • Lions' D.J. Reed: Clear for Sunday

Reed (hamstring) was activated from injured reserve Saturday and does not carry an injury designation for Week 12.

Reed was moved to injured reserve Oct. 1 after suffering a hamstring injury in Week 4 versus the Browns. His return in Week 12 will be a major boost for the Lions' secondary, as Terrion Arnold (concussion) was ruled out for Sunday. Reed recorded 16 tackles and an interception prior to his injury.

  • Lions' D.J. Reed: Questionable for Week 12

Reed (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Reed was designated for return from injured reserve last week, opening his 21-day practice window. His potential return would be a big boost to the lineup after Terrion Arnold (concussion) was ruled out for Sunday's game. Amik Robertson and Rock Ya-Sin played virtually every defensive snap at cornerback last Sunday against the Eagles.

  • Lions' D.J. Reed: Limited again Thursday

Reed (hamstring) practiced in limited fashion Thursday.

Reed has been on IR since Oct. 1 due to a hamstring injury. He was designated to return Nov. 12 and was limited in all three practices last week. Reed has begun this week of prep with two more limited practices, and it's unclear if he'll be activated to return Sunday against the Giants.

  • Lions' D.J. Reed: Limited to open week

Reed (hamstring) was limited during Wednesday's walkthrough practice.

Reed had his 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve open during Week 11 prep, but he wasn't cleared to play against the Eagles this past Sunday. His practice participation over the next two days will provide more clarity on his chances of being activated from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants. Reed has missed the Lions' last six games due to a hamstring injury.

  • Lions' D.J. Reed: Won't return for Sunday

Reed (hamstring) has been downgraded and ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Eagles, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.

The 29-year-old was originally listed as questionable after returning to practice Wednesday, but he'll be sidelined for Sunday's contest. Reed will have now missed the Lions' last six games due to a hamstring injury. He's likely nearing a return, as he practiced in a limited capacity throughout the week, making Detroit's Week 12 matchup against the Giants a possible return date.

  • Lions' D.J. Reed: Chance to return Week 11

Reed (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles.

Reed has a chance to return from a five-game absence due to a hamstring injury that caused him to land on injured reserve in early October. He was limited in all three practices during Week 11 prep, and he would have to be activated from injured reserve Saturday in order to be available for Sunday's road game. Reed's return would be timely for the Lions, given that Terrion Arnold (concussion) has been ruled out and Amik Robertson (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 11.
