Giants' Jaxson Dart: Playoff return not ruled out
Head coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday that Dart (knee) will miss the rest of the 2026 regular season, but he didn't rule out a return for the playoffs if the Giants qualify, Connor Hughes of SNY.tv reports.
Dart is set for surgery after suffering damage to the MCL, PCL and meniscus in his left knee during Monday's 28-6 loss at the Rams. While the meniscus injury is the primary concern for the second-year quarterback, fortunately for him the ACL in that knee is intact. While Dart is sidelined, Jameis Winston will direct the Giants offense Sunday versus the Titans and beyond.

Giants' Jaxson Dart: Set for season-ending surgery
Dart is expected to undergo knee surgery that will end his 2026 season but lead to a full recovery heading into 2027, Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network report.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, medical tests on Dart's left knee have revealed that his ACL is intact, but the second-year quarterback sustained damage to his MCL, PCL and meniscus after taking a big hit from two defenders on the Giants' seventh play of Monday's 28-6 loss to the Rams. Schefter adds that the meniscus is the primary concern for Dart, who was initially believed to have sustained only an MCL sprain before follow-up tests showed more damage than anticipated. With surgery on tap for Dart, the Giants will move forward with Jameis Winston as their new starting quarterback beginning with this Sunday's game against the Titans.

Dart (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's game against the Rams.
Dart suffered a left knee injury when he was sandwiched between two Los Angeles defenders as he threw a pass during the first quarter. The 23-year-old was able to walk off the field and eventually go to the locker room under his own power, but he was ruled out from returning just after halftime. Dart finished the contest having completed three of five passes for 20 yards. Dart was hurt during New York's first offensive series when he was hit by a pair of Rams defenders while throwing a third-down pass that was incomplete.
