The Jets placed Wiegand (undisclosed) on the practice-squad injured list Thursday, Eric Allen of the team's official site reports.
The nature of Wiegand's injury isn't clear, but after being placed on the practice-squad IL, he is ineligible to be elevated to the Jets' active roster for at least the next four games.
