The Jets waived Hulstein (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Thursday.
Hulstein was going to have to spend the entire 2026 season on IR, but he's now in line to hit the free agent market instead. The undrafted rookie suited up for all three of the Jets' preseason games, totaling four receptions for 25 yards.

Jets' Connor Hulstein: Reverts to injured reserve
Hulstein (undisclosed) reverted to the Jets' injured-reserve list Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
The tight end was waived/injured Sunday after participating in all three preseason games and making four catches for 25 yards. Hulstein signed with the Jets in early August as an undrafted free agent out of Marist. He will need to reach an injury settlement with New York to have a chance to play in 2026.

The Jets waived/injured Hulstein (undisclosed) on Sunday, Eric Allen and Amanda Vogt of the team's official site report.
Hulstein signed with the Jets in early August as an undrafted free agent out of Marist. The tight end participated in all three preseason games for the team, catching four of his five targets for 25 yards. The 6-foot-5, 235-pounder will now be subject to waivers, and if he clears will revert to the Jets' injured reserve list for the entirety of the 2026 regular season unless he is waived with an injury settlement.
