  • Jaguars' Mac Jones: Modest numbers in finale

Jones completed 20 of 32 passes for 225 yards and a touchdown with an interception in Sunday's 26-23 overtime loss to the Colts. He added 17 rushing yards on five carries.

He connected with Parker Washington for a nine-yard score in the fourth quarter that tied the game at 20-20, although it nearly didn't count -- the wideout lost the ball just before the goal line but was ruled to have recovered it and gotten into the end zone before being downed. Jones saw significant action in eight straight games to close out the 2024 season, starting seven of them in place of Trevor Lawrence (shoulder), and the former Patriot completed 65.2 percent of his passes during that span with an 8:8 TD:INT and a 6.5 YPA. While those numbers were merely adequate, they could be good enough to earn him some attention from QB-needy teams this offseason as part of a free-agent class that figures to have little depth beyond Sam Darnold.

  • Jaguars' Mac Jones: Keeps offense on schedule

Jones completed 15 of his 22 passes for 174 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 20-13 win over the Titans.

The Jaguars never trailed in the game and had a 13-0 lead by halftime. That allowed the ground game to be the focus of the offense, though Jones delivered when called upon. He completed a pair of passes when given a short field early in the second quarter, which concluded with a two-yard touchdown toss to Parker Washington. He later orchestrated a 16-play, 74 yard drive that was capped by an 11-yard touchdown to Brian Thomas that sealed the win for the Jaguars early in the fourth quarter, a possession that also included a deep 24-yard completion to Washington. Jones had a rocky beginning to his time as the starter in Jacksonville, though he's led a relatively competent offense in recent weeks and has multiple touchdowns in three of his last five games.

  • Jaguars' Mac Jones: Decent showing against Raiders

Jones completed 25 of 39 passes for 247 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Sunday's 19-14 loss to the Raiders.

The Jaguars haven't been afraid to take to the air with Jones under center, as he's now attempted 46 and 39 passes in the last two weeks. His stat line was driven by that volume rather than efficiency, illustrated by averaging just 6.3 yards per attempt despite connecting with Brian Thomas for a 62-yard score late in the third quarter. The biggest positive for the day was Jones' ball security, as Sunday marked only the second time he did not turn the ball over in six games as Jacksonville's starter.
