Rams' Ronnie Rivers: Handles six touches in Week 1
Rivers rushed five times for 19 yards and caught one pass for five yards in the Rams' 27-7 loss to the 49ers in Week 1.
With the Rams getting blown out by 20 points in the fourth quarter, Rivers saw eight offensive snaps late in the game and piled up six touches during his minimal playing time. He's the RB3 behind Kyren Williams and Blake Corum.

Rams' Ronnie Rivers: Back with Rams
The Rams re-signed Rivers to a one-year deal Wednesday, Stu Jackson of the team's official site reports.
During the 2025 regular season, Rivers recorded 46 yards on nine carries over 11 games while also returning 16 kicks for 418 yards. Now that he's back in the fold for a fifth season with the Rams, Rivers should continue to work in a similar role as a special-teamer who provides depth to a backfield that also includes Kyren Williams, Blake Corum and Jarquez Hunter.

Rams' Ronnie Rivers: Works as return man
Rivers returned four kickoffs for 107 yards during Sunday's 37-20 victory against the Cardinals.
Kyren Williams and Blake Corum became a formidable duo in 2025, combining for 404 carries, 1,998 yards on the ground and 16 touchdowns. This didn't leave much for Rivers, who finished his fourth year with the Rams with just 46 yards on nine carries over 11 games. Rivers did return 16 kicks for 418 yards, but the return role was a fairly even split with Corum, Jordan Whittington (knee) and Xavier Smith. With the Rams securely set with Williams, Corum and 2025 fourth-round pick Jarquez Hunter in the backfield, Rivers, who will be an unrestricted free agent at season's end, may test free agency to find a more secure role elsewhere. He'll next take on Carolina on Saturday in the wild-card round of the playoffs.

Rivers has spent the entire season so far on the Rams' practice squad, but he's now a part of the 53-man roster after Week 9. It's not likely he'll see much work on offense as long as Kyren Williams, Blake Corum and Jarquez Hunter are still healthy.

Rivers was elevated to the Rams' active roster for the second time this season and suited up after Jarquez Hunter (coach's decision) was made inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints. Rivers played just five snaps on special teams without showing up on the box score otherwise while the Rams stuck with their two-man backfield of Kyren Williams and Blake Corum. Rivers is eligible to be elevated from the practice squad one more time by the Rams this season.

Rivers is nursing a ribs injury sustained during Los Angeles' preseason game against the Cowboys on Saturday.
