Dolphins' Jaelan Phillips: Off injury report
Phillips (Achilles) has no injury designation ahead of Thursday night's matchup with the Bills, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Phillips is still recovering from the Achilles injury he sustained in 2023, but it appears he'll be suiting up Thursday night after playing limited snaps in Week 1. The 2021 first-round pick logged 6.5 sacks in just eight regular-season games last season, and he's expected to line up opposite Quinton Bell as part of Miami's top pass-rush unit against the Bills.

Phillips (Achilles) was listed as a limited participant in Monday's practice estimate, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Phillips was on a playing time limit for Sunday's 20-17 win over the Jaguars, but he still played 33 snaps and recorded 1.0 sacks. The Dolphins will likely continue to play it safe with their first-round selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, especially on a short week ahead of Thursday night's matchup against the Bills.

Phillips (Achilles) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
Phillips was a DNP for Wednesday's session, but he was able to participate in both individual and team drills Thursday. Per David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, Phillips is expected to operate on a snap count for the Dolphins' regular-season opener against the Jaguars on Sunday, but it could be a soft cap given the 2021 first-round pick was able to practice without restrictions Thursday.

Phillips (Achilles) will have a snap count Sunday against the Jaguars, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Phillips was limited in practice Wednesday, as he continues to work himself back to full strength from his Achilles injury in November. However, it does sound like the 2021 first-round selection will be active -- although it's not clear how limited he'll be -- for Week 1 against Jacksonville. The fact that the Dolphins also play four days later, Thursday, Sept. 12 against the Bills, likely will factor into how frequently Phillps sees the field Sunday.

Phillips has not officially been cleared for Week 1 yet, but Wednesday's injury report figures to give an update. Dolphins' Jaelan Phillips: Heads to PUP list
The Dolphins placed Phillips (Achilles) on the active/PUP list Thursday.
Phillips will start training camp on the PUP list as he works his way back from a right Achilles tear. Though he underwent surgery late November, Phillips has stated that he expects to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season, and he'll be eligible to come off the PUP list at any point in camp or the preseason once ready to practice. Miami also placed fellow star pass-rusher Bradley Chubb (knee), who is recovering from an ACL tear, on the PUP list ahead of camp.
