Holsey was a seventh-round pick of the Redskins back in 2017. He is making his way back from a partially torn ACL he suffered back in December but was waived in order to create roster spots for the signings of undrafted free agents.

Redskins' Josh Holsey: Suffers partial ACL tear
Holsey (knee) sustained a partial ACL tear and will be placed on injured reserve Monday, Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post reports.
Holsey left Sunday's win over the Jaguars and was unable to return. The 24-year-old was promoted from the practice squad Saturday and surprisingly played 29 defensive snaps while recording two solo tackles against Jacksonville, but unfortunately suffered the injury in his first NFL action of the season.

Holsey was initially placed on the NFI list at the beginning of training camp, but he finally appears to be nearing a full recovery from his lingering foot injury. Expect clarification on the second-year pro's health when he returns to practice this week. Whenever Holsey is able to return to the field, he'll serve a depth role in Washington's secondary.
