Nathan Rourke: Let go by Atlanta
The Falcons waived Rourke on Sunday.
Rourke joined the Falcons on Aug. 1 after being waived by the Giants four days prior. He was brought in to compete with Taylor Heinicke for the No. 3 quarterback job, but Rourke struggled in Atlanta's 20-13 preseason loss to Miami, completing just three of 13 passes for 37 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions, though he did add 24 rushing yards on two carries. Should he clear waivers, Rourke will look for an opportunity to catch on with a team in need of an emergency quarterback.

Falcons' Nathan Rourke: Catches on with Atlanta
The Falcons signed Rourke to a contract Thursday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.
After being let go by the Giants on Sunday, Rourke wasted no time finding another team as the Falcons released quarterback John Paddock in a corresponding move. Rourke, a one-time star in the CFL, will use training camp as an opportunity to compete against Taylor Heinicke for the emergency quarterback role behind presumptive starter Kirk Cousins and 2024 eighth overall pick Michael Penix.

Nathan Rourke: Cut by Giants
The Giants waived Rourke on Sunday, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Rourke was the odd-man out of the backup quarterback competition between Drew Lock and Tommy DeVito. Should he clear waivers, Rourke will be in the market for a team looking to add an emergency quarterback to its practice squad.

Giants' Nathan Rourke: Claimed off waivers
The Giants have claimed Rourke off waivers from the Patriots, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
After being waived by the Patriots on Monday, Rourke was quickly scooped up by the Giants. The 25-year-old will add depth to a New York QB corps headlined by Daniel Jones, who is bouncing back from a torn ACL, with Drew Lock and Tommy DeVito as backups.

Nathan Rourke: Being let go by Patriots
The Patriots plan to waive Rourke, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Given that the Patriots took two quarterbacks (Drake Maye and Joe Milton) in last month's NFL draft and also roster Jacoby Brissett and Bailey Zappe, it's not surprising that the team elected to part ways with Rourke. The 25-year-old has yet to appear in an NFL regular-season game, but Rourke did draw 11 starts over two campaigns (2021 and 2022) with the CFL's BC Lions.

Patriots' Nathan Rourke: Set to re-sign with New England
Rourke is slated to re-sign with the Patriots, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
The Patriots claimed Rourke off waivers from the Jaguars back in December, and the 25-year-old will remain with the team in 2024 to provide quarterback depth. At this stage, however, it remains to be seen who Rourke will be working behind this coming season, with Mac Jones' future with New England to be determined and the franchise potentially adding a signal-caller in April's NFL draft.

Patriots' Nathan Rourke: Gets scooped up by Pats
The Patriots claimed Rourke off of waivers from the Jaguars on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Just a couple days after being waived by Jacksonville, Rourke has already found another opportunity in New England. He still hasn't made his regular-season NFL debut, but with the Patriots eliminated from playoff contention and looking for answers at the quarterback position, it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see him check in before season's end.

Nathan Rourke: Waived Saturday
Rourke was waived by the Jaguars on Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Rourke signed with Jacksonville's active roster prior to the Week 14 matchup with the Browns in order to serve as an emergency option under center behind Trevor Lawrence (ankle) and C.J. Beathard. Assuming he clears waivers, the signal caller will presumably land back with the team's practice squad.
