Browns' Chris Odom: Placed on IR
The Browns placed Odom (knee) on injured reserve Monday.
Odom was carted off the field during Saturday's preseason finale and was diagnosed Sunday with a torn ACL in his left knee. The undrafted linebacker from Arkansas State last appeared in an NFL regular-season game for Washington in 2019, but he most recently spent time in the USFL and was a long shot to make the Browns' initial 53-man roster.

Browns' Chris Odom: Diagnosed with torn ACL
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said Sunday that Odom has been diagnosed with a torn ACL in his left knee and will miss the remainder of the 2022 campaign, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
Odom was carted off the field Saturday after suffering the injury, so it's not surprising to see him diagnosed with a serious issue. The undrafted linebacker from Arkansas State last appeared in an NFL regular season game for Washington in 2019, but he most recently spent time in the USFL and was a long shot to make the Browns' initial 53-man roster.

Browns' Chris Odom: Signs with Cleveland
Odom signed a contract with the Browns on Saturday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Odom has had a few brief stints in the NFL, the latest coming in 2019 when he played four games for Washington, recording 10 tackles and two sacks in limited action. Stephen Weatherly (knee) going down opened a slot for Odom to fill a backup role at defensive end, with Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney locked in as the starters.

Chris Odom: Cut by Washington
Odom was released by Washington on Friday, Kyle Stackpole of the Redskins' official site reports.
Odom had seven tackles and two sacks in four games with Washington last season, but it apparently wasn't enough for him to stick on the offseason roster. The 25-year-old UDFA will hope for another shot at a roster spot this spring/summer.

Redskins' Chris Odom: Promoted to active roster
The Redskins signed Odom off their practice squad Saturday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Odom has spent time with Packers and Falcons during his brief career and even had a brief stint in the now defunct AAF this past offseason. He will now get an opportunity to make an impression with the Redskins. However, he will likely just be in a depth defensive end role right away.

Falcons' Chris Odom: Rejoins Falcons after AAF stint
Odom signed a contract with the Falcons on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Odom briefly spent time on the Falcons' practice squad after going undrafted out of Arkansas State in 2017, but did not make the team's 53-man roster. He then was claimed off waivers by Green Bay, notching six tackles (three solo) across seven games in 2017. Odom most recently appeared in eight games for the Salt Lake Stallions in the AAF, recording 10 tackles and 2.5 sacks. He'll now compete for a depth role off the edge in Atlanta.

Chris Odom: Let go by Green Bay
Odom was cut by the Packers on Saturday, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.
Odom was used in very limited fashion this preseason after spending the entire 2017 season on the team's active roster. Given his absence during the preseason, Odom was never seen as having a legitimate chance to make Green Bay's final roster.
