Jets' Mykal Walker: Re-signs with Gang Green
The Jets re-signed Walker on Friday, Jack Bell of the team's official site reports.
Walker was cut by the Cardinals at the end of training camp but he quickly caught on with the Jets on the practice squad in early September before being signed to the active roster in October. He worked in a rotational role on defense while serving on special teams and finished the 2025 regular season with 31 tackles (nine solo) and one pass defense across 14 games. Walker will likely reprise that role for the Jets in 2026.

Cardinals' Mykal Walker: Arriving in Arizona
The Cardinals signed Walker on Wednesday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Walker appeared in all 17 of the Commanders' regular-season games during his one-year stint in Washington in 2024, recording 21 total tackles while primarily contributing on special teams (75 defensive snaps and 343 special teams snaps). Now in Arizona, the 27-year-old will likely play a similar role and compete for a rotational inside linebacker spot throughout the summer.

Commanders' Mykal Walker: Goes to Washington
Walker signed a contract with the Commanders on Tuesday.
Walker suited up eight times for the Steelers in 2023, recording 33 tackles (21 solo) and two passes defended, including one interception. It was a reduced role from his 2022 campaign with the Falcons, which saw him cross the century mark in tackles. He'll likely be a depth option in Washington's linebacker corps this season.

Steelers' Mykal Walker: Grabs first interception of year
Walker recorded three tackles (one solo) while intercepting a pass and deflecting another in Thursday's 21-18 loss to the Patriots.
Walker played a smaller role on Pittsburgh's defense in Week 14, but he was still able to pick off Bailey Zappe in the third quarter, snatching his first interception of the season. The linebacker has compiled 20 tackles, an interception and a pass deflection over four games since joining the Steelers on Nov. 18.

Steelers' Mykal Walker: Steelers' leading tackler vs. Cards
Walker recorded 10 tackles (seven solo) in Sunday's 24-10 loss versus the Cardinals.
Sunday's game was the first in which Walker managed a double-digit tackle total since Week 8 of last season. He should continue to be heavily involved as long as Cole Holcomb (knee) and Kwon Alexander (Achilles) remain sidelined.

Steelers' Mykal Walker: Joins active roster
The Steelers signed Walker off the practice squad to their active roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Browns.
The 26-year-old was added to ensure depth at inside linebacker, as the team has already lost Kwon Alexander (Achilles), Cole Holcomb (knee) and Chapelle Russell (undisclosed) to injuries thus far. Walker's last in-game action came with the Falcons in 2022, when he started 12 games and tallied 107 total tackles.
