Seahawks' Nick Emmanwori: Expected to play Sunday
Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said Thursday that Emmanwori (ankle) is "fully expected" to play Sunday versus New England in the Super Bowl, Jeff Darlington of ESPN reports.
Emmanwori was officially listed as limited Wednesday after rolling his ankle in practice, and per Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic, Macdonald said the rookie second-rounder is managing a low-ankle sprain. Macdonald also noted that Seattle will be overly cautious with Emmanwori's health, so it won't be surprising if he's limited again at practice, or even held out entirely, Thursday and/or Friday. What remains to be seen is whether Emmanwori will manage to avoid an injury designation entirely for Sunday's game.

Seahawks' Nick Emmanwori: Limited in Wednesday's practice
Emmanwori (ankle) was a limited participant in Seattle's practice Wednesday, per Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic.
Emmanwori was a full participant in practice throughout last week, so it's currently unclear when he injured his ankle. The rookie second-round pick's availability in Thursday and Friday's practice sessions will provide more clarity on his status for the Super Bowl.

Emmanwori recorded three total tackles (two solo) in Sunday's 27-10 victory over the Panthers.
Emmanwori and the Seahawks defense were only on the field for 53 total plays, so the rookie and many of his teammates had limited production. The 21-year-old has now registered 74 total tackles (52 solo), including 2.5 sacks, while also adding 11 passes defensed, one of which is an interception, over 13 contests this year.

Emmanwori registered 11 tackles (seven solo) during the Seahawks' 38-37 overtime win over the Rams on Thursday.
The rookie second-rounder registered the most tackles of his young career Thursday and finished as the game's third-leading tackler behind Drake Thomas (13) and Ernest Jones (12). In the eight games since the Seahawks' Week 8 bye, Emmanwori has accumulated 54 tackles (39 solo), including 2.5 sacks, and nine pass defenses (including one interception).

Emmanwori cleared concussion protocol during Thursday's game against the Rams, Corbin K. Smith of SI.com reports.
Emmanwori exited the game late in the fourth quarter and was ultimately cleared to return in overtime. He didn't retake the field because Seattle had the ball on its game-winning drive when he was cleared, but Emmanwori should be ready to suit up in Week 17 against the Panthers.

Emmanwori is being evaluated for a concussion and is questionable to return to Thursday's Week 16 game against the Rams.
Emmanwori was hurt while defending a pass late in the fourth quarter. The contest has since gone to overtime, but the impressive rookie defensive back may not be able to return. Cornerback Riq Woolen is also questionable to return due to a knee issue, and safety Coby Bryant has been ruled out with a knee injury of his own, so Josh Jobe, Nehemiah Pritchett and Ty Okada are all getting more work than usual.

Emmanwori tallied seven tackles (six solo), including 1.0 sacks, and two defensed passes in Sunday's 18-16 win against Indianapolis.
Emmanwori was Seattle's second-leading tackler in the narrow victory. Among his stops was a second-quarter sack of Phillip Rivers. Emmanwori also recorded multiple pass breakups for the third time this season. Emmanwori struggled with injuries to start the season, but he has been a full-time player in the Seahawks' dominant defense over the last eight games, totaling 47 tackles, nine pass breakups, 1.5 sacks and an interception. The Seahawks utilize Emmanwori as a utility defensive back, as he floats around the formation and is increasingly being used in the pass rush, providing intriguing upside for fantasy purposes.
