Seahawks' Emanuel Wilson: First-round RB added by Seattle
Wilson will face increased competition for touches after the Seahawks drafted Jadarian Price 32nd overall Thursday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
All three of Wilson, Price and George Holani could play sizable roles early in the season while Zach Charbonnet works his way back from a torn ACL. The Seahawks signed Wilson and drafted Price after losing running back Kenneth Walker in free agency. Price is untested in a workhorse role, having backed up Jeremiyah Love at Notre Dame, so Seattle's likely to spread out the backfield workload between multiple options despite investing significant draft capital into Price.

Seahawks' Emanuel Wilson: Joining Seattle's backfield
The Seahawks are slated to sign Wilson to a one-year deal worth up to $2.1 million, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
While working as Josh Jacobs' top backup with Green Bay in 2025, Wilson recorded 496 yards and three TDs on 125 carries, along with 99 yards on 15 catches in 17 regular-season games. With Kenneth Walker departing via free agency and Zach Charbonnet having suffered a torn ACL in January, Wilson could potentially earn a key early-season role in a Seattle backfield that also includes George Holani and Kenny McIntosh, though it's possible that the team adds further RB depth in the coming weeks and months.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Won't be tendered
The Packers aren't planning on tendering Wilson, so he will become a free agent, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Wilson served as Josh Jacobs' backup at running back last season and tallied 496 yards and three touchdowns on 125 carries, adding 99 receiving yards on 15 catches over 17 regular-season games. He also worked part-time as a kick returner and logged 233 yards on nine kickoff returns. Wilson just finished his third campaign with Green Bay and entered the offseason as a restricted free agent, but the Packers' decision not to tender him means he'll be free to sign with any team.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Serves as Jacobs' backup in 2025
Wilson turned 125 carries into 496 yards and three touchdowns while adding 15 catches (on 17 targets) for 99 yards over 17 regular-season games (two starts) for the Packers in 2025. He also returned nine kickoffs for 233 yards.
For a second consecutive season, Wilson served as the Packers' No. 2 option behind Josh Jacobs. The former managed to draw two starts, the first of which took place in Week 12 against the Vikings, when he broke out for 107 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries while hauling in both of his targets for 18 yards. Wilson saw double-digit carries in four regular-season games but only one carry (for three yards) during Green Bay's 31-27 NFC wild-card loss to Chicago on Saturday while playing 13 of 71 offensive snaps (18.3 percent). The Packers have the option to tender Wilson during the offseason, which would make the soon-to-be 26-year-old running back a restricted free agent.

Packers' Emanuel Wilson: Tough sledding against Vikings
Wilson carried the ball 18 times for 44 yards and caught his only target for four yards in Sunday's 16-3 loss to Minnesota.
The Packers rested key players ahead of the playoffs, including Josh Jacobs (knee/ankle), but Wilson wound up being outgained by Chris Brooks out of the backfield as the team deployed a ground-heavy attack. Wilson has seen no more than four carries in four of the last five games, so he isn't likely to have a big role in the wild-card round. The third-year RB wraps up the regular season with 496 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 125 carries.
