Eagles' Makai Lemon: Abnormal stat line in regular-season debut
Lemon caught three of four targets for minus-five yards in Sunday's 24-22 win over the Commanders.
Lemon reeled in a three-yard catch on the team's first possession of the game before later adding a pair of receptions that combined to lose eight yards. The Eagles are operating under new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion this season, and they'll look to find more productive ways to get the wide receiver involved in Week 2 against the Titans.

Eagles' Makai Lemon: Listed as starting receiver, punt returner
Lemon is listed as a starting wide receiver for the Eagles and their top punt returner on the unofficial depth chart released Tuesday, Andrew DiCecco of InsideTheBirds.com reports.
The rookie joins DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks as the top three receivers on the depth chart, though Wicks may be prioritized ahead of Lemon in two-wide sets to begin the season. Wicks turned in a strong training camp, while Lemon spent considerable time on the sideline while tending to a hamstring injury. The first-round pick will likely need to impress early in the season before pushing past Wicks as the No. 2 receiver.

Eagles' Makai Lemon: Three catches in preseason debut
Lemon brought in three of five targets for five yards and returned one punt for no gain in the Eagles' 30-13 preseason loss to the Bengals on Friday. He also fumbled once but recovered.
Lemon made his long-awaited pro debut after finally overcoming a nagging hamstring injury, and although he was certainly kept busy during his time in the game, he extracted minimal gains from his receptions. The 2026 first-round pick still is ticketed for the No. 3 receiver role to open the season despite the missed time, and Lemon now will have the opportunity to garner plenty of practice reps ahead of a Week 1 home matchup against the Commanders on Sunday, Sept. 13.

Eagles' Makai Lemon: Practices in full Monday
Lemon (hamstring) was a full participant in Monday's practice, EJ Smith of The PHLY Sports reports.
The rookie has been hampered by a hamstring issue for much of camp but is starting to get on track as the season approaches. Lemon practiced in a limited fashion last week and has upgraded to full participation as of Monday. The rookie still has to play catch-up a bit with the lost time during camp, but a fully healthy remainder of the offseason will put Lemon in a good spot come Week 1.

Eagles' Makai Lemon: Not playing Saturday
Lemon (hamstring) won't play in Saturday's preseason game at New England, Olivia Reiner of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Lemon has been dealing with a hamstring injury since at least Aug. 3, but he was listed as a limited participant Wednesday and Thursday in advance of this preseason Week 2 matchup. With no game action to speak of yet during exhibition season, the rookie first-round pick seems like a candidate to play this coming Friday at Cincinnati if he progresses enough in his recovery.

Eagles' Makai Lemon: Deemed limited at Thursday's practice
Lemon (hamstring) is practicing on a limited basis Thursday, Dave Zangoro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Lemon was also listed as limited at Wednesday's practice but wasn't in uniform. The rookie first-round pick has dealt with on-and-off hamstring injuries throughout his first NFL offseason. Philadelphia is taking a cautious approach with Lemon, who is poised to operate as a starter in three-receiver sets alongside DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks once Philadelphia's wide receiver room is healthy. Lemon looks unlikely to suit up in Saturday's preseason game against the Patriots.
