Robert Jackson: Waived by Cleveland
The Browns waived Jackson (illness) on Tuesday, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
Jackson had been dealing with an illness that did not appear to be COVID-19-related for the past three weeks. While his release isn't directly related to his illness, the missed time certainly didn't help his case to make the roster. If he clears waivers it is possible the Browns will elect to sign him to their practice squad.

The Browns waived Jackson (hamstring) on Thursday, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.
Jackson appeared in 10 regular-season games with the Browns in 2020 before landing on IR due to a hamstring injury in the playoffs. Once back to full health, Jackson will look to earn a depth roster spot elsewhere in the league.

Browns' Robert Jackson: Goes to IR
Jackson (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday that Jackson was simply day-to-day, but now he'll be unavailable until the Super Bowl. The second-year cornerback out of UNLV made his first career start in the wild-card win over the Steelers, but he was simply going to be depth for the rest of playoffs as long as Denzel Ward and Kevin Johnson returned from the reserve/COVID-19 list as planned.

Browns' Robert Jackson: Deemed day-to-day
Head coach Kevin Stefanski said Monday that Jackson (hamstring) is considered day-to-day, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Jackson made his first career start in Sunday's wild-card win over the Steelers, but he exited after 77 snaps. It appears the injury is minor, although he'll be closely monitored through the practice week. Even if he's able to shake the injury, both Denzel Ward and Kevin Johnson have a good chance to return from the reserve/COVID-19 list for Sunday's AFC divisional-round matchup against the Chiefs.

He's only seen six snaps on defense this year, but he and opposite-side corner Terrance Mitchell will be the first line of defense against Mason Rudolph and the Pittsburgh passing attack.
