Williams (coach's decision) has been ruled out for the Rams' wild-card game versus the Panthers on Saturday, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
Williams will be a healthy scratch for a third straight week after having served as a rotational corner earlier in the season. Emmanuel Forbes, Cobie Durant and Ahkello Witherspoon will continue to serve as the team's primary cornerbacks during Saturday's matchup.

Despite head coach Sean McVay telling reporters Wednesday that he expects Williams to play in Sunday's matchup against the Cardinals, he likely won't suit up. Barshop added that head coach Sean McVay expects Williams to play in this Sunday's game versus the Cardinals. As the Rams' starting boundary cornerback, Williams has produced 22 tackles (15 solo), eight pass breakups and an interception through 10 games.

Rams head coach Sean McVay said Wednesday that "the plan we had in place" is for Williams (shoulder) to return to the lineup Sunday against the 49ers, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.
Williams hasn't played since Week 7 due to a shoulder injury McVay called a "little setback," but it appears the starting cornerback is trending toward a Week 10 return. McVay said "the hope and optimism" is that Williams will suit up on the road against San Francisco on Sunday. With Ahkello Witherspoon (collarbone) on IR and not expected to return until at least December, Williams' return to the field will represent a notable boost for Los Angeles' defense.
