  • Bengals' Jalen Davis: Role grows in 2025

Davis posted 20 total tackles (seven solo), including 1.0 sacks, one interception and one forced fumble over seven regular-season games in 2025.

Davis has been with the Bengals' organization since 2020 but had primarily been a special-teamer prior to this season. After being promoted from the practice squad to the active roster in early December, the Utah State product started three of Cincinnati's final seven games and logged a career-high 270 defensive snaps. Now set to enter unrestricted free agency this offseason, Davis could find work with a team in need of secondary depth ahead of the 2026 season.

  • Bengals' Jalen Davis: Joins active roster

The Bengals signed Davis off their practice squad Monday.

The Utah State product has played 79 defensive snaps over Cincinnati's last two games, recording six total tackles and one forced fumble. Now on the Bengals' active roster, Davis is expected to operate as one of the team's top boundary cornerbacks for the remainder of the season.

  • Jalen Davis: Contributing last two weeks

Davis had three tackles and a forced fumble in Thursday's win for the Bengals over the Ravens.

Davis has been added from the practice squad the last two weeks for the Bengals and has made an impact in each game. In Week 12, he had three tackles and 1.0 sacks against the Patriots. It's likely he'll be activated again in Week 14 against the Bills after playing more than half the Bengals' defensive snaps the last two weeks.

  • Bengals' Jalen Davis: Will suit up Week 18

Davis (groin) is not among the Bengals' inactives for Sunday's contest versus Cleveland.

Davis entered the weekend deemed questionable due to a groin issue, but he'll be able to suit up for Cincinnati's season finale. Chidobe Awuzie (shoulder) is inactive for the contest, so Davis could see more than his usual allotment of work in the secondary. Davis typically plays primarily on special teams -- he hasn't logged more than six defensive snaps in any contest this season.

  • Bengals' Jalen Davis: Gets questionable tag

Davis (groin) is listed as questionable ahead of the Bengals' Week 18 matchup with the Browns.

Davis squeezed a full practice session between two limited workloads at practice this week before ultimately being listed as questionable. He is attempting to return from a one-game absence. With Chidobe Awuzie (shoulder) also getting a questionable tag, Davis could see some extra reps in the secondary if he ultimately gets cleared.

  • Bengals' Jalen Davis: Not playing Sunday

Davis (groin) is inactive Sunday against the Chiefs.

Davis' absence will weaken the team's depth in the secondary, but more so on special teams, where the Utah State product spends the vast majority of his snaps.

  • Bengals' Jalen Davis: Signs new deal

Davis re-signed with the Bengals on a two-year deal Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Davis will remain in Cincinnati after spending the previous three seasons with the team. In 2022, he suited up 13 times, primarily contributing on special teams. The 27-year-old finished the year with two assisted tackles and a fumble recovery. Looking ahead to the coming season, the 27-year-old will reprise his role as a depth option in the Bengals' secondary.

  • Bengals' Jalen Davis: Back in full Thursday

Davis (thumb) practiced fully Thursday, Andrew Gillis of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Davis is now in line to end his two-game absence due to a thumb injury following his ability to partake in Thursday's session without limitations. With that being said, the 26-year-old will likely operate in a strict special-teams role Monday night against the Bills.

  • Bengals' Jalen Davis: Sitting out again Week 16

Davis (thumb) has been deemed inactive versus the Patriots on Saturday.

Davis missed his first game of the season Week 15 versus Tampa Bay due to a thumb injury, which kept him limited in each practice leading up to Saturday's tilt. His absence shouldn't substantially affect the Bengals' pass defense since starting cornerbacks Eli Apple, Cam Taylor-Britt and Mike Hilton are all available to play.

  • Bengals' Jalen Davis: Officially out Sunday

Davis (thumb) has been ruled inactive ahead of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.

Davis will sit out his first game of the season after failing to practice Week 15 due to a thumb injury. With veteran Mike Hilton (knee) also out Sunday, expect Tre Flowers and Allan George to see increased usage behind starting cornerbacks Cam Taylor-Britt and Eli Apple.

  • Bengals' Jalen Davis: Unlikely to play

Davis (thumb) is doubtful for Sunday's matchup against Tampa Bay, Andrew Gillis of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Davis didn't practice Wednesday through Friday due to a thumb injury, so it's not surprising to see him listed as doubtful. The fifth-year cornerback has played primarily on special teams across 13 appearances this season, so his expected absence shouldn't impact Cincinnati's secondary.
