Thurman has appeared in all nine games for Carolina this season, recording 19 combined tackles in the process. Thurman was waived by the Patriots on Sept. 3 with an injury settlement related to an undisclosed injury. He appeared in seven games for the Patriots in 2020 in a part-time role while recording seven tackles. Wide receiver Keelan Doss was released in a corresponding move. Thurman will provide depth for the Falcons' defensive line and be ready for future Sundays if he's needed.
