Pittsburgh cut Foelsch on Friday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.
Foelsch has spent time with the Panthers, Jets, Eagles, Chiefs and Steelers since going undrafted out of New Haven in 2024, but he's still searching for a chance to make his regular-season debut. The second-year tight end will likely end up finding a spot on a practice squad this season.

The Steelers signed Foelsch on Monday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.
Less than a week after being waived by Pittsburgh, Foelsch is now getting another chance with the team. He's still probably on the outside looking in in terms of earning a spot on the final 53-man roster for 2025, as Pat Freiermuth, Jonnu Smith and Darnell Washington are projected to occupy the top three slots on the depth chart at tight end.

Foelsch began training camp with the Jets and was claimed by the Eagles off waivers in early August. During the preseason slate, he caught three of six targets for 17 yards. As a member of the practice squad, Foelsch will provide important depth at tight end for the Eagles, as Dallas Goedert has been sidelined from practice due to an oblique injury, and Grant Calcaterra is the team's only other tight end currently on the 53-man roster.
