Seattle placed tight end Eric Saubert (calf) on its injured reserve list Saturday, so it makes some sense that the team is exploring potential depth options at that position. Murray is still waiting to make his regular-season NFL debut, and now that he's back in football shape, he's free to sign with any club.

Murray (groin) reverted to the Bear's injured-reserve list Thursday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Murray went unclaimed off waivers after he was waived with an injury designation by the Bears on Wednesday. As such, he'll be required to miss the entire 2025 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with Chicago. Murray had stints on the Cardinals' and Giants' practice squads in 2024 and has not played in a regular-season game since signing with the Texans as an undrafted free agent in May 2023.

Murray (groin) was held out of practice with a groin injury Sunday, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Murray appears to have suffered a groin injury at practice during the week, and he may now be at risk of missing the Bears' preseason opener Aug. 10 versus the Dolphins. The tight end will look to return to the practice field ahead of the contest, but if he can't make it, he'll shift his focus to Aug. 17 against Buffalo.
