  • Devin Leary: Let go by Ravens

Baltimore cut Leary on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Leary spent all of last season on the Ravens' practice squad, so he could resurface in a similar role for the 2025 campaign. The 2024 sixth-round pick is still looking for a chance to make his regular-season debut.

  • Ravens' Devin Leary: Inks future deal with Baltimore

The Ravens signed Leary to a reserve/future contract Tuesday, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Leary was selected by the Ravens in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 218th overall. He was unable to beat out Josh Johnson for the backup quarterback role behind Lamar Jackson in training camp, but Leary stuck around on Baltimore's practice squad, where he spent the entire campaign. Leary will be on the Ravens' 90-man roster when the new league year starts March 12. With a full offseason under his belt, Leary will attempt to earn the QB2 role behind Jackson for the 2025 campaign.

  • Devin Leary: Staying in Baltimore

Leary signed with the Ravens' practice squad Wednesday, Ryan Mink of the team's official site reports.

Leary was a sixth-round selection for Baltimore in the 2024 Draft, but he was unable to beat out Josh Johnson for the No. 2 spot behind starter Lamar Jackson in camp. Instead, he'll serve as the No. 3 quarterback option while on the practice squad.

  • Devin Leary: Waived by Baltimore

Leary was waived by the Ravens on Tuesday, Clifton Brown of the team's official site reports.

The quarterback failed to catch on behind Lamar Jackson and Josh Johnson despite being selected in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Leary played his college ball at NC State and Kentucky, and tossed 35 touchdowns as a junior.

  • Ravens' Devin Leary: Hoping to back up Jackson

The Ravens selected Leary in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 218th overall.

Leary showed the ability to produce in both the ACC and SEC as the quarterback for NC State and Kentucky, respectively. His redshirt junior season with the Wolfpack was the best of his career, as he tossed 35 touchdowns and threw for 3,433 yards. Leary has good arm strength and should stick on a roster as a backup -- perhaps to Lamar Jackson -- though he had a concerning dip in accuracy in his final collegiate campaign for Kentucky (56.3 completion percentage).
