Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Lands three-year extension
The Cardinals signed Wilson to a three-year, $75 million contract extension Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The sides squeezed this deal in before the start of the regular season, as Wilson had been set to enter the final year of his rookie deal. Selected in the third round of the 2023 Draft, Wilson had a true breakout season in 2025, as he operated as the Cardinals' WR1 most weeks while Marvin Harrison battled injuries throughout the campaign. Wilson responded with three 100-yard receiving games over the final eight weeks of the season and finished the year with 78 catches for 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns. Six of his seven scores came in the final five contests. Harrison is back healthy this season, but Wilson figures to remain a prominent piece of a passing offense that also includes All-Pro tight end Trey McBride.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Potential extension looming?
The Cardinals have made attempts to figure out a contract extension with Wilson ahead of the 2026 campaign, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports.
A 2023 third-round pick of Arizona, Wilson wasn't able to tap into his full potential until his third season in 2025, but once QB Jacoby Brissett took over the offense Week 6, the wide receiver was off and running thereafter, posting a 70-954-6 line on 108 targets over the final 12 contests. The run included three 100-yard receiving games and at least one touchdown grab in each of the final five weeks. Entering the final year of his rookie contract, his situation is pending, and whether it gets decided before Week 1 or next offseason remains to be seen.

Cardinals' Michael Wilson: Pair of catches in preseason opener
Wilson brought in both targets for 23 yards in the Cardinals' 27-14 preseason win over the Raiders on Thursday.
The Cardinals' starting offense took the field on the opening possession, and Wilson was on the receiving end of two of Jacoby Brissett's first three completions. The fourth-year wideout is coming off having posted a career-best 78-1,006-7 line on 126 targets over 17 regular-season games in 2025, but if Marvin Harrison is able to enjoy better healthy this coming season, Wilson could be headed for at least a slight statistical downturn in his No. 2 receiver role.
