Leon O'Neal: Reaches injury settlement
O'Neal (undisclosed) was waived from the 49ers' injured reserve list Friday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
O'Neal was able to secure an injury settlement from San Francisco just one day after reverting to the team's IR with an unspecified injury. While his injury status is still up in the air, the Texas A&M product can now negotiate a deal elsewhere ahead of his 2022 rookie campaign.

49ers' Leon O'Neal: Back on 49ers' IR
O'Neal (undisclosed) reverted to San Francisco's injured reserve list Thursday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
O'Neal passed through waivers unclaimed after he was injured/waived by the 49ers on Wednesday with an undisclosed injury. The 23-year-old safety will now have to sit out the entirety of his upcoming rookie season, unless he can secure an injury settlement from the team this preseason.

The 49ers waived O'Neal with an undisclosed injury designation Wednesday, per the team's official site.
O'Neal was spotted working with a medical trainer during Tuesday's practice, but the nature of the injury remains unclear. If the undrafted rookie out of Texas A&M clears waivers, he'll revert to San Francisco's injured reserve, which -- barring an injury settlement -- would end his season.
