Justyn Ross: Joins KC's practice squad
Ross signed with Kansas City's practice squad Wednesday, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports.
Ross was waived by the Chiefs on Tuesday but went unclaimed, giving Kansas City the opportunity to keep the wide receiver in the organization as a member of the practice squad. Kansas City has seven wide receivers on its 53-man roster, so it may take a couple of injuries for Ross to earn a chance at a promotion after he dressed for 10 regular-season games with Kansas City as a rookie in 2023.

The Chiefs waived Ross on Tuesday, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports.
Ross appeared in 10 regular-season games with Kansas City last season, securing six of 11 targets for 53 yards, but he won't stick on the 53-man roster to begin the 2024 season. If the former Clemson standout goes unclaimed on waivers, though, he'll be a likely candidate to earn a spot on the Chiefs' practice squad.

Chiefs' Justyn Ross: Will play Sunday
Ross (hamstring) is active for Sunday's divisional-round matchup against Buffalo.
Ross was unable to play in the Chiefs' wild-card win over the Dolphins due to the injury, but he was able to log limited practices leading up to the divisional-round matchup with the Bills. The Clemson product will be one of the many options at receiver suiting up for Kansas City on Sunday.

Ross got in a round of limited practices this week, an upgrade after he went DNP-LP-LP last week before being ruled out versus Miami. Ross was hurt in the Week 18 finale against the Chargers. If active, he's unlikely to have much of an offensive role versus Buffalo.

Ross hurt his hamstring in Week 18 against the Chargers and logged a DNP/LP/LP progression during practice this week. Despite the pair of limited sessions, he has been deemed unable to play in the opening round of the postseason. Ross could be trending in the right direction to suit up Saturday, as he began the Chiefs' week of practice with a DNP but followed that up with two consecutive limited sessions.
