Abdullah is working to earn a role in Jacksonville's linebacker corps after being selected by the team in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Jaguars' Yasir Abdullah: Lands in Duval
The Jaguars selected Abdullah in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 136th overall.
While Abdullah might not be a standout pass rusher, nor an obvious coverage linebacker, the fact he displayed both traits at Louisville is certainly promising, especially for a Jaguars defense that can use tweener athletes along the front seven. Expect the 23-year-old to factor in the team's rotational depth immediately.
