Colts' Cameron McGrone: Activated from injured reserve
The Colts activated McGrone (elbow) from IR on Saturday and removed his injury designation for Sunday's game against the Texans.
McGrone will be available to suit up on the road versus Houston on Sunday. The veteran linebacker missed the start of the 2024 regular season due to a dislocated elbow suffered during training camp, which required surgery. Now ready to retake the field, McGrone is expected to handle a depth role on defense for Indianapolis.

Colts' Cameron McGrone: Updates injury
McGrone suffered a dislocated elbow during training camp, which led to his placement on injured reserve, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
McGrone's injury was previously unknown, but he clarified the issue with Boyd on Thursday. The Michigan product underwent surgery to help repair the injury and plans to return this season. Colts' Cameron McGrone: Fresh start in Indy
The Colts signed McGrone off the Patriots' practice squad Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
McGrone had been on New England's practice squad throughout the duration of the season without any game action to show for it, but he'll now have an opportunity to make his NFL debut playing for Indianapolis following Tuesday's transaction. With the Colts' upcoming contest landing on a Monday, the 236-pound linebacker will have an extra day to adapt to the new playbook and possibly receive limited rotational snaps.
