  • Jacob Saylors: Headed for free agency

Saylors was waived by the Browns on Monday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealerreports.

Saylors joined Cleveland after being let go by the Giants on Aug. 11. He'd also spent time in camp with the Bengals and on the Falcons' practice squad in 2023 after going undrafted out of East Tennessee State, and he'd rushed for 461 yards at an impressive 4.9 yards per carry while adding a 23-152 receiving line for the UFL's St. Louis Battlehawks this past spring.

  • Jacob Saylors: Let go by Big Blue

The Giants waived Saylors on Sunday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

After ending the 2023 season on the Falcons' injured reserve, Saylors caught on with the Giants in June. He played eight snaps in Thursday's 14-3 preseason win over the Lions, but all of them were on special teams. Saylors' path to the Giants' 53-man roster was always going to be a tough one, and the 23-year-old running back will now explore his next options assuming he clears waivers.

  • Giants' Jacob Saylors: Joining Big Blue

Saylors has agreed to terms on a contract with the Giants, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

Saylors joined the Bengals' roster prior to the 2023 season as an undrafted free agent before getting waived during final roster cuts. He ultimately landed with the Falcons' practice squad in October. He then suffered an undisclosed injury in November that landed him on injured reserve. With his addition to New York's roster, it looks like he is good to go heading into the 2024 season. There are five other running backs on the roster, so Saylors figures to have his work cut out for him going forward.
