The Steelers waived/injured Meadors (undisclosed) on Thursday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
The move allows Pittsburgh to sign safety Jalen Elliott to the 90-man training camp roster. Meadors last saw NFL action with the Vikings in 2021, when he played 14 snaps on special teams in his lone regular-season outing. He will revert to the Steelers' injured reserve if he's not claimed off waivers, which will force the 27-year-old safety to miss the entire 2024 season unless an injury settlement is reached.

Browns' Nate Meadors: Hooks on with Cleveland
