Bears' Cam Lewis: Bolstering Chicago's secondary
Lewis is set to sign a two-year deal with the Bears, Chris Emma of 670TheScore.com reports.
Lewis is heading to Chicago after serving as a reliable backup for the Bills over his first six seasons. The defensive back played in all 17 regular-season games (four starts) for Buffalo in 2025, accumulating 43 tackles (33 solo), four passes defensed, and two forced fumbles. Lewis has experience at slot cornerback, outside cornerback and safety. The 28-year-old's versatility should serve Chicago's secondary well in 2026.

Bills' Cam Lewis: Minimal defensive work in 2025
Lewis recorded 43 total tackles (33 solo), four passes defensed and two forced fumbles across 17 regular-season games in 2025.
After starting six games and playing 569 defensive snaps during the Bills' 2024 campaign, Lewis started just four contests and logged 370 defensive snaps this regular season. Despite this, the Buffalo product remained a key contributor, tying for the fourth-most passes defensed while playing 222 special-teams snaps. Set to hit unrestricted free agency this offseason, Lewis will likely draw interest from teams in need of secondary depth ahead of the 2026 season.

Bills' Cam Lewis: Active Sunday, as is Taron Johnson
Lewis (calf) is active for Sunday's Week 11 battle against the Buccaneers.
Lewis battled a calf injury this week and was limited in all three of Buffalo's practices. He's ultimately going to be able to play, but Taron Johnson (groin) is active as well after missing the Bills' past two contests. That likely means Lewis will return to a rotational role after starting in the slot while Johnson was sidelined.

Bills' Cam Lewis: Questionable for Sunday
Lewis (calf) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Buccaneers.
Lewis was a limited participant in all three practices this week with a calf injury. The slot cornerback was able to play through a shoulder injury in the Bills' Week 10 loss to the Dolphins despite logging limited sessions throughout that week as well. The 28-year-old's status for Sunday's game may also revolve around starting slot cornerback Taron Johnson (groin) and his availability. If Lewis is able to suit up, he will likely either back up a starting Johnson or share slot cornerback snaps with fellow University at Buffalo product Ja'Marcus Ingram if Johnson is unable to go for a third straight week.

Bills' Cam Lewis: Questionable for TNF
Lewis (shoulder) is questionable to play in Thursday night's contest in Miami.
Lewis was a limited participant at practice throughout the week while dealing with an apparent shoulder injury. The 28-year-old operates as a depth option at both safety and cornerback with Buffalo, so his absence would carry some significance for the team. If he can't go in Week 3, Brandon Codrington and Sam Franklin would be candidates to see an increase in workload.
