Bengals' Freedom Akinmoladun: Secures future contract
The Bengals signed Akinmoladun (undisclosed) to a reserve/future contract Monday.
Akinmoladun played two games for the Bengals this year, logging 24 snaps on defense and making two tackles. The Nebraska product will turn 25 years old in February, and he'll compete for a depth role through the offseason program and training camp.

Freedom Akinmoladun: Hits COVID list
The Bengals placed Akinmoladun on the practice squad COVID-19 list Wednesday, Marisa Contipelli of the Bengals' official site reports.
It's unclear if Akinmoladun tested positive for the virus himself or if he came in close contact with an infected individual. The Nebraska product will be unavailable until he clears the league's COVID-19 protocols.

Bengals' Freedom Akinmoladun: Back with Bengals
Akinmoladun was promoted to the Bengals' active roster Thursday.
The 24-year-old was elevated by the Bengals at the tail end of last season, earning just six snaps in two games over that span. Akinmoladun will add depth at defensive tackle with Geno Atkins (shoulder) and Mike Daniels (groin) sidelined for Thursday's game against the Browns.

Akinmoladun signed with the Giants during the offseason but ultimately was unable to make the team. He has since found his way to the Bengals' practice squad and will now get a chance to make an impression on the 53-man roster.
