    Fautanu (knee) was listed as a full participant during Thursday's practice session, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.

    Fautanu has been working through a sprained MCL he sustained in Pittsburgh's preseason opener against Houston on Aug. 10. The rookie first-round pick opened the week as a limited participant Wednesday, but he was upgraded to full participation Thursday and he should be good to go for Week 1 against Atlanta. Fautanu is currently listed as the second right tackle on the Steelers' depth chart behind Broderick Jones.

    Fautanu suffered an MCL sprain in the Steelers' preseason opener and had been sidelined since. The 2024 first-round selection still has a chance to make his NFL debut Sunday against the Falcons, but it will depend on whether he is able to ramp up his activity level Thursday and Friday in practice. He's expected to be the team's starter at right tackle if he can suit up Week 1, while Broderick Jones would likely handle the position in the event of Fautanu's absence.
