Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Won't play against Titans
Rice (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Titans.
The same applies to Tyquan Thornton (concussion), which leaves Xavier Worthy, Hollywood Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster in line to lead the Chiefs' Week 16 WR corps, with Nikko Remigio and Jalen Royals also in the mix. Rice's next opportunity to play will arrive in his team's Dec. 25 contest against the Broncos.

Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Still not practicing
Coach Andy Reid said Rice (concussion) didn't practice Friday, Charles Goldman of AtoZSports.com reports.
Rice emerged from this past Sunday's loss to the Chargers with concussion symptoms and wasn't able to practice in any capacity as the Chiefs prepare for this Sunday's game at Tennessee. Reid relayed that he'll meet with Kansas City's training staff in the near future to determine who will be ruled out for Week 16 action, but because Rice has made no notable progress through the protocol for head injuries, he seems destined to be out this weekend.

Chiefs' Rashee Rice: In concussion protocol
Rice (concussion) won't practice Wednesday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Per Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com, Rice reported concussion symptoms Monday, and the wideout is now in the NFL's concussion protocol as Sunday's game against the Titans approaches. He now has two more chances to practice before the Chiefs' Week 16 game statuses are posted, but with the team eliminated from playoff contention, look for caution to be exercised with both Rice and fellow WR Tyquan Thornton, who is also in the protocol.

Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Remains sidelined Thursday
Rice (concussion) won't practice Thursday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
Rice will sit out a second consecutive practice Thursday, having also missed Wednesday's session after reporting concussion symptoms Monday. To have any chance at clearing the NFL's five-step concussion protocol prior to Sunday's game against the Titans, Rice would have to upgrade to full participation Friday and gain clearance from an independent neurologist, so his chances of suiting up Sunday look slim. Xavier Worthy could work as the top wide receiver for a Chiefs team that has been eliminated from playoff contention and will start Gardner Minshew at quarterback.

Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Kept in check despite seven catches
Rice brought in seven of 11 targets for 51 yards in the Chiefs' 16-13 loss to the Chargers on Sunday.
Rice tied for the team lead in receptions and set the pace in targets while checking in second in receiving yards. The Chiefs' No. 1 receiver and the rest of his skill-position teammates now have an uncertain outlook for the remainder of the season, given it appears Patrick Mahomes suffered a serious knee injury in the fourth quarter that figures to sideline him the rest of the way. However, even if Gardner Minshew is under center for Kansas City's final three games, Rice figures to remain a top target.

Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Struggles in primetime loss
Rice had four receptions on eight targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 20-10 loss to Houston.
Rice struggled with drops on Sunday Night Football, finishing with his worst catch rate (50 percent) through seven starts this season. Kansas City's top wideout still led the club in targets, but the offense simply ran into the buzzsaw that is the Texans' defense in 2025. Rice is still putting together a dominant fantasy campaign in a suspension-shortened season, sporting a 46-520-5 receiving line across seven games. Fantasy managers should continue starting Rice with confidence in next Sunday's matchup against the Chargers.
